Thanks folks. Just needing a new white on black CK HS pressed into it and it's all go. I'm going to run with the old S75/Chub/A23 setup as I'm skint but also it was pretty faultless and looked good (IMO!).. Waiting for my front Chub/A23 to get laced and ready to roll :)

Fuck I would have liked to send my forks as part of the same respray job
-
• #158
Aw crap, really? I should've advertised better, sorry. The V2 forks got the same metal grey treatment but my V1's are remaining matt black to go with the components..

Thanks mate, it is pretty damn bright! Hope you're doing well in Van and that you're finding some good bikes :)

Ooooooohhh HS getting fitted today and hopefully shall be built tonight :) Only thing is the HS isn't the white on black as the shop fucked up the order but hey, it'll work and I want her up and running. Photos to come laters..

Chocolate donkey lives again! Orange suits it nicely.
I see it as a good thing that you got a wrong headset, I prefer this version :)
On the other note, I've seen this bike before but just now realized V1 and V2 have different headset systems. My V2 has a bmx type headset that takes about a minute to fit and doesn't need any tools for it.

Cheers mate, I think I'm preferring this one too now that it's all built up..
It's only the early V1's that have an external HS, the later ones changed to integrated like the V2's. -
• #168
I prefer external too, just so I can run CK.

^^Didn't know that, thanks for info.
I've seen your frame many times up close when it was in James' possession, but never payed attention to the headset. This was the bike that made me get one. -

No worries mate. It's really been round the block and glad it's had some good influence! I think that once you get one it's difficult to find something that compares..
-
• #171
I agree with that, but I'd really like to try ESB, just to know if it's as good, better or totally uncomparable . I need to know!
-
• #172
I know, the same thoughts have crossed my mind aswell. I think it'll be much more trick orientated and probably not as nimble and good for longer rides but then again I've never tried one either so no actual idea! Let me know if you do get a chance to try one though..

I nearly swapped my Gangsta for swedees fillet brazed ESB when it was up for sale. What stopped me was that Gangsta never really let me down, it's been great every time I used it, with a trailer delivering coffee beans or riding to Brighton, it always rocked. Felt a bit stupid for wanting to get rid of it and kept it.
Will let you know if ever get my hands on ESB. -

Very nice, what about a black chain? Seems like the only part needed to stealth out the parts.
