I have 2 choices for the fork right now:
echo
-aluminium trial echo urban 26, v-brake and disc
-780gr
-400mm a-c 30mm offset
120$Spez
-Steel Pfix v-brake
-around 1 kg i assume
-417mm a-c 31mm offset
60$ -

They both have the same offset so you can change your geometry to accomodate a longer/shorter A-C. So the decision really is what value do you place on weight? And how much money do you have to spend?
I would go for the echo forks.

I was using echo SL forks on my old bike. They were really light and solid. Just be aware of steerer lengths as a lot of trials forks can have short ones.

they're a bit flexy under breaking and look like cannondale fattys. -

They're very very wide.

So are you.

Thank you.

mhm flexi will really bored me.
You think the specialized steel P.fix one would be flexi as well?
-
• #185
mabye I've come to expect less flex since the last ones I was using were real stiff.
compared to others they're still pretty stiff .
I'm also using front disc brake only.
I did say they look like cannondale fattys right....

If you were to send that to a builder I'd simplify the line drawing down. Builder doesn't need to know stem length or saddle height. BB drop measurement is better than a BB height. Also there's nothing marking what angle the top tube is at or how long the seat tube is.

This is not the builder map. Rattle cad (a really nice freeware) provide you different view of the bike, as geo basis, details, framebuilder plan. These sketch I show are more easy to ride for people who want I talk about general geo ideas.

Stainless front triangle. Really light with the actual set up, 9,1 kg.
(a cool advantage of sloppey frame, you don't fuck your lever on top tube)First (ugly) shots of my bike. Based on the geo i talked about sooner. Made by sammy from moteur fucker:

Looks good.
Is that a trial freewheel crank at the front?
How do you like it? Any benefit to normal crank setup? -
• #192
Really light and rigid, but I think that feet are to far from center, as with some
Box cranks, so it make pedaling less efficient. I would go to a vtt crankset instead probably. -

Looks great! What filler did sammy use for the brazing?
-
• #194
I think mostly silver one. But i dont know vers Much about it, he just told me it cost him a lot...

I don't think inner headtube cable work well for v brakes... :(

Just droping in to reply to hyper hallah for the filler of Clements bike to get a more solide past i tried a new filler for me the sif silver solder but didn't really get time to apreciate it's behaviour... first filet frame made with silver so basically i went back on castollin 1802 wich is much more fluid but i have been working it for a bit, so easyer for me to use.
just need to swing the bike and play with gravityThe bike isn't finished yet need to do some clean up just took a brake for my thumbs to stop burning

Yeah mine worked fine, got a disc brake running through there now. Barspin goals confuse everyone
Sorry my spell check changed that, should be
Another year older and getting fatter every day.
