  • There's many other frames that could do the same job, like the mash for example, its a rad frame but i can see my self selling it after a while, but i can see my self keeping a Vigorelli for a long time, as like you say, its pretty versatile, as track frames go.

  • Also has plenty of clearance for 28c tyres, as I've just found out.

  • Not sure if any one has seen it....

Redbull "Eye In The Sky" Alley Cat Race - YouTube

  • ^^Alleycat? Worst alley cat ever. More like a race with some card collections around a boring traffic free city...

To be fair when you saw it was sponsored by a major drinks company what did you expect?

  • To be fair when you saw it was sponsored by a major drinks company with a reputation for putting on incredible sporting events what did you expect?

    ...

  • ^this

  • I know but there's no was such a big company would hold such a risky event involving members of the public.

  • Was more just to show Rainier riding on the Vigorelli.

  • Auckland, New Zealand on a Sunday afternoon.

  • It wasn't the best race but when RedBull put events on they are always fun. I had a good time smashing Ranier up the hills.

  • That Red Bull alleycat looked good to me. Decent mix of busy roads and quiet, not sure what more you want.

  • Yeah looked good to me to, at least its reasonably safe unlike something like Monster track where some one could easily get killed, more fun to watch, but its true.

    Just felt really staged nah'mean

  • Definitely the best looking Vigorelli I've seen

  • Can any one give me any info on what the weight is like? i read its kind of heavy but very stiff because of that, but that was from a while ago.

Also curious if its up to handling some rough stuff, gravel roads and so on

Edit: about the Vigorelli, but still interested on Opinions about its Brothers

  • It's definitely not heavy.

    • Frame weight: 1500g
    • Fork weight: 500g

  • its light compared to what i'm used to, but not sure how it compares to other frames in that price range as i have not really looked around.

  • Girl rides a Vigorelli; weighs in at 6.9kg even with a "monster heavy" wheelset. Frame and fork in fact is just under 2.0kg* including headset and and seat clamp i.e. less than claimed by manufacturer.

*Guess they must have been playing it safe, or tubing must have changed slightly since prototype.

  • 6.9kg complete??

  • I need to get some scales to weigh mine. I locked it up when it was windy the other day and if it wasnt locked to a rail it would have taken off.

  • 6.9kg complete??

    Not unheard of.

Dolan Precursa weight 1800g frame-only, and you can get it down to 8.5kg without doing much.

So 7kg is possible with the Vigorelli.

1500g isn't heavy, but if you compare it to a typical road frame that usually weight 1000-1300g, it's slightly porky.

Having said that, the weight is fine for the application it's designed for.

  • Damn, my old Dolan was around 9.5kg with its lightest parts, quite a hefty bugger

  • I'm sure it must be a royal pig to ride.
