Started swapping out the various parts for new trinkets. Still waiting on silver spacers. When they arrive I'll fit the silver Chris King headset and get the fork cut down properly. I also think the Brooks needs to go, so I'll be looking out for something comfy but nice in the near future.
So, before:

Might fit some roadracer guards, but you are correct, it will not.

i think you must set the levers a bit higher

It needs some tweaking, for sure. Might get it re-finished in pink... ;)

Finally got a pair of cranks for a decent price to finish the 3rd gen Chorus group: my first Ergoshifter build and 10.21kg. Hardly svelte, but each build is lighter than the last, so it's progress.
Needs some proper ergo bend bars and I'm not sure about the anodising on the stem; also fancy a white perforated leather Regal and Elite Ciussi cages.
Now the 2nd gen Chorus is off here, I can build up the TT frame...

just dropped this guy off at armourtex to be sprayed sparkly silver! Will post pics when built. Two questions. Best way to apply decals? Any advice on avoiding bubbles? Also any advice on extremely tight tyres and avoiding pinch flats etc? I have bought some blb black mambas and I've never had this problem with gatorskins, kendas, schlabe's etc!!
Many thanks!

Do you have any bigger pics of that, the one you posted is a bit hard to see.

Any advice on a reasonably comfy but not too porky saddle? I quite like my Planet-X team which I have on one of my other bikes (cromo). Will be used on my croix de fer, which is my daily commute. Also maybe some light touring. Suggestions?

Very happy with Selle Italia SLR XP if you're looking for something reasonably priced... Virtually impossible to recommend a good saddle though, without knowing your butt inside out ;)

Quick one, are 23mm conti GP 4000s likely to be slightly taller than other similar tyres? Mine are about half a mm (honestly) too big for my brake bridge on this http://www.imgur.com/RRmE4Yy.jpeg , so I can't slam the wheel.
I'd really rather not go to 20mm (like the Veloflexes in the picture) for road riding but if I slam them then there is very, very slight rubbing on the brake bridge.
I would like puncture protection, but I have a feeling that 23s with puncture protection is never going to work on the frame, which is a pity.
(Yes Ed, I know anything below 25 is silly for general road riding.)
^^ that re-furb is stunning. who did it?
