  • ^ has it stopped your vowels working?

according to my friend..its got a crack in it...

  • Any help appreciated......

On 4.1.1 on galaxynote 10.1 and have giff gaff data plan. Notification area shows I am connecred to 3g / h+ but when I try and use browser it can't connect

    No problem on wifi

I have disabled juice defender and uninstalled an app I installed recently but it is still broken....

    Google not helping much

SO thought I would try here :)

  • have you got the right APN's? Some ROMs will leave you with O2's which unfortunately wont't work.

    info here:

There is an app that walks you through it on the Play store.

    Or try Tweakker APN app

  • i updated to 4.1.1 on my 1x, lost all interwebs.
    i sorted it by:
    Settings -
    Mobile data -
    Network operator -

it defaulted to Ikea Family network for some reason.
    (im on One2One t-mobile)

  • What's the best GPX nagivation application for android phone?

Car Nav: The built in Navigation.

Outdoors Nav: Viewranger is a very, very good app. Highly recomended. Uses the OS maps and you can buy individual tiles.

  • Branwen & Parryman thanks for the advice.

Just turns out I am dumb and did not set giffgaff to auto renew. At least I now know how to set up a new APN if I need to.....!

  • I prefer co-pilot for car nav, but it's expensive, I bought mine ages ago before google did navigation.

Look good, will try them out.

  • Really enjoying the S3 now it's running cM10.

My one gripe is I keep using the volume rocker to turn the volume to silent and it turns vibrate off.

  • There's a really easy trick for that.

    Don't use the volume rocker.

  • On my 1x if you go beyond silent it goes to vibrate

  • There's a really easy trick for that.

    Don't use the volume rocker.

Yeah, I know this, but I accidentally use it when getting the phone out of my pocket and then need to turn it down, and turn it down too far.

  • Could you use locale or some other settings app to make sure vibrate is on at all times?

  • menu > system settings > sound > silent mode > vibrate

    Sorted

  • This option is not there...

  • Really? I thought it would be standard on CM10 :/

Can you do it thorough specific apps? I know Gmail has an option to 'always vibrate'

  • Probably, I'm sure there's a way around it, I'm just being lazy.

  • The updated keyboard layout on the one x is pissing me off, what happened to the little keyboard key? Why they move number and punctuation function key to the left ?

  • Have you tried SwiftKey 3?

    I like it.

  • ^ Me too. It's brilliant!

  • I was wondering if anyone could help me? I've just got a nexus 7, but every time I try and join a wifi network it says "Authenticating......" and wont join the network. Am I doing something wrong?

  • Look for the wifi fixer - I posted it a while ago, It's a known problem with the nexus 7 and they're looking in to fixing it.

  • Cheers fella, I'm guessing I'd need an internet connection first? I'm using my phone at the mo, which is over 2 years old and is having no probs.

  • Do you have anywhere else to access wifi or use phone as hot spot? Does it connect at all? Some times turning it off and on will quickly give you enough time to download the fix.

Erm other you could try to find the apk but id let other people explain how to do that as im not sure myself!

  • There is some where I know it will work, I just have to get there. A fractured hip is slowing my progress.
