Some shots of my first roll with my fathers Canonet ql17.
Really fun to make analog pictures for a change.
The white spots are because I took a digital picture of these ones... Need to get myself a scanner.

anybody got a XA2 flash?
I have an A11 flash in Stoke Newington, N16 if you want to make an offer?
-

^^ I used a tripod and just kept the button pushed in for about 5secs I think.

Need to get myself a scanner.
Taking digital pictures of prints is alright for quick internet / forum use,
just take care of reflections and consider cropping them.
Canonet ql17 is a neat camera! -

My mju finally succumbed to alcohol on NYE, loved that little camera.
Anybody got one they want to get rid of cheaply? Don't need the mju II

Just found out my local lab is closing down on Saturday.
Beyond gutted as I now no longer have a cheap place to get developed and scanned as the other local alternative is a fucking joke - in terms of both quality and price.
So, anyone got a medium format neg scanner for sells. . .

which lab?

We send away (freepost) to Peak Imaging in Sheffield.
I rate them.

Yeah I've not been back to digitalab, not that I've shot much film recently. Just the lab or the whole shop?
-

Whole lot. Think they've just gone bust. They only found out this morning, all the staff losing their jobs etc. Bought myself a tripod and flash anyway (was in there to buy before I knew the news) and scored a bit of discount - hopefully it'll go a little way to make sure everyone get their final wages.
Seems you can get dev and scan (with a reasonable scan) for £13 at digi now, it'll have to do either way. I shouldn't really complain though as it's better than most have available!
All the people in Bonsers were sound as fuck too.

Shit, might go have a look this week then, see if anything is going cheap.

My wife got this for xmas, the dealer assured her bro (who bought it for her) that it is fully functional but she would like to take it for a clean and service.
Can anyone recommend a place that would be able to do it?

Mamiya RB67, XP2 Super.
A bit boring but I was eager to fire a film through.
-
• #5145
What do you think of the XP2 Super? And did you use a yellow/orange filter for the last one?
-
• #5146
No filters.
Not sure about the xp2 - probably wasn't the best choice for the 1st roll on a camera I have no familiarity with so I can't say what's down to the film and what's down to the camera.
Need to shoot some film I'm more familiar with first I think. I've got a few rolls of Provia 400x that I'm really excited to shoot and I've got it loaded with Fuji Pro400h at the moment.

could someone tell me what the overlap problem is that I'm having here and how I can avoid it in future? I took a set of polo photos and then the next day took a few of my friends (so they are next to each other on the film) and they seem to have become overlayed

Most likely film not winding on properly resulting in a double exposure.
What camera were you using?
-
• #5149
Yep. Either a mechanical failure, or some cameras have a button to deliberately skip film advance when you wind on and allow double exposure. Usually recessed or fitted with a twist lock so you don't press it off accidentally.

It's a Pentax ME Super that had a winding problem. I paid to have it repaired but I'm now thinking that the issue isn't fully fixed and its now intermittent.
I've also got one broken, anybody know where to repair them?
