I'm somewhat in shock. I've just been handed a RB67 for my birthday.
CAN'T FUCKIN' BELIEVE IT!
So, I now need to pick up a nice light meter - what are people's favourites?
Nice!
My preference would be a spot meter, Soligor (also available as Adorama and a few other names) are cheap and in my experience, pretty reliable and nice to use.
There are a couple iphone apps that emulate spot meters, Pinhole Assist is my fave but a pucker, stand alone meter would be miles better really.

I think I'll just try and pick up something tomorrow to get me going. I'm desperate to use the beast!

If you have a smart phone (i'm sure there'll be light meter apps for other operating systems) then I'd give one of them a shot in the short term at least.
I sold my Soligor when I sold my MF kit, been meaning to get another ever since buying a LF camera but grudge spending £100+ for something that my iphone can do quite well. Also, that pinhole app is really helpful as it deals with super low film (or in my case, paper) speeds and super long exposures times.

I don't have a smartphone. I can open bottles with my ancient Sony beast of a telephone though.

Ah ok then.
Well, I'd definitely recommend a spot meter and reading some zone system literature if you haven't already.
If you just want something to get you going then Weston meters are usually pretty cheap and pretty reliable I think.

The Sekonic l-398 is the most accurate and best of all the selenium meters (needs no battery), but a serviced Weston Master will also serve you right. All electronic modern meters are much of a muchness.

Haha, nice, nefarius.
Just had an RB67 in my hand last week for the first time after like 5 years, and thought
a) ahh, I love this thing!
b) ha, it really is big!
c) fuck, it's heavy!Definately invest in good straps and bag as well if you don't have it already.
As for meters I'd think I'd first read a lot and in the meantime take a second camera with me.
Selenium meters are ok, but only in daylight, mind.
The Gossen Digisix is a small but apparently very good digital one. -

So, I picked up a Sekonic L-308s earlier. Now I need a Tripod - anyone got one for sells?

So awesome. I took that shot on the last page with one I've borrowed. WLF is such an awesome way of working, I love it.
Actually just saw a really cheap rz67 with a jammed on lens, I thought this was quite a common issue

Wow. Peanuts if you're happy with the focal length

Anyone used XP2 Super? What do people reckon to it?
The last c41 B&W I used was the Kodak stuff and I thought it was a bit pants.
-

I love XP2, used it loads
Get slightly mixed results, but I think that is down to the metering on my pentax, and getting it developed at snappy snaps muswell hill!

XP2 Super is excellent, unless they've changed the formula. Excellent sharpness and latitude.

Just blasted off the first couple shots on the RB67 - holy fuck is it a satisfying clunk when you fire the shutter!
