Heading somewhere busy now, will try and take photos of people without them noticing...

Fortunately there's no way that could be misconstrued.

just took delivery of a £1.89 reverse mount ring.
it screws in like a fliter and lets you mount your prime lens the wrong way round for macro photography.
I have it on my 50mm x D40.
Its interesting.
you can see DoF in action when you change the f-stops.
Examples to follow when i can get some good ones, took a pic of teh wifes eye, but off the camera it is more out of focus than the little screen lets on! -

Flash will help, even a DIY bodge with the camera flash

Yeah! I've been paranoid when using it!
Getting fastidious with checking/ cleaning it before refitting it normally. -

I need to sell my Canon Ixus HS 300 and Canon 550d pretty soon. I have 28 2.8 Canon prime and a Tamron 17-50 lens with the 550d that I could split. Also there is a snap-on LCD viewfinder available for anyone interested in HD video.
PM if interested.

Still £1.89 is a bargain. I paid £120 for a Nikon ais 35mm macro last year. It's sharp as fuck though.

Could always pick up a bellows for 15 quid too, we played with one and a cheap 50mm.
Shame about the flash but beautiful eye!

Hi.
looking for a half decent compact and wondered if anybody had any advice or recommendations?
Only real needs are it needs to take a picture when i press the button (not a second after i pressed the button) and it needs to be shit hot at capturing moving objects.
Last one I bought was a Lumix DMC FX33 which was great at the time but there have obviously been some huge advances since then.
Is the Sony DSC RX100 really as good as everyone says? Or should I just get a Nikon S8200 for 1/3 of the price and spend the rest on bike?
Any thoughts suggestions more than appreciated.
