  • Finally moved into the 21st century with an S3. These smartphone things are pretty clever aren't they? They do all sorts of things.

Anyway, looking to add memory. From research I think I want a Sandisk 64GB, class 10, but there seem to be some compatibility issues for some people - *exactly *which one is the best to get?
personally it depends what you need the storage for. I find 16gb plenty these days especially with all the online storage and options of backing up content. I'm currently accessing 7000+ songs from play music online and can choose offline playlists if need be. My photos are backed up on Dropbox etc. so main storage would be for contacts, apps or caching.

  • (1) I don't believe in online storage systems.

I can tell you they exist. I've not seen them personally of course, but if you have faith then they serveyou just fine.

  • Get a 256gb micro SD : )

    1. Where?
    2. How Much?
    3. What speed?
  • Sure? Have you checked xda for a note specific rom?

The handset is only a few months old, I'd like to keep the warranty intact whilst it is valid.

This, I have the same problem. This is my work phone and I literally do without it.

  • OK so I turned off the option in alarm on Nexus 4 that allows the volume button to do snooze etc. It's the lock screen I think - the action of unlocking the phone with the lock screen turns the ruddy alarm off! This is so shit......

If you swipe one way it snoozes if you swipe the other way it turns the alarm off. Confused the fuck out of me the first time I had to deal with it, but I'm getting used to it now. Still can't figure out the symbols some mornings though!

  • Personally, I hate the new 4.2 lock screen.

I use an unlock pattern, and I tend to end up swiping around widget pages.

  • Same. Or I end up in the fucking clock app. There should be a way of enabling the old lock screen.
The alarm snooze really confused me the other day, ended up getting up at the time it was set at for the first time ever because I couldn't tell if it was on snooze or not.

  • Yeah, I'm not too convinced by it really. Might encrypt my phone again, but I'm getting a bit too used to being able to get into the damn thing.

I'm indifferent but I use mad codez not unlock patterns.

    thank you!!!!

  • Make your alarm a cool song. Then no need to snooze. Listen to it whilst knocking one out/waking up. #win

  • Just got asked to update again on the Nexus 7.

    Edit: Still on 4.1.1..

  • I wonder if it's the fact your Nexus on 4.1 is why you got all those applications.

  • Possibly. It's over a week old, so maybe its catching up on updates slowly? I have no idea. It was from the carphone warehouse.

  • Nexus 4 in my dirty little paws!

  • Carphone Warehouse has the Nexus 7 32 GB down to £179 and stock in stores.

Nexus 4 SIM free also in stock @ £389 :(

  • fantastic price that - I reckon you could get cashback from that too.

  • ^I'd get a Nexus 7 if I could connect it to my bike computer to get the data off.

  • CM10/4.1.2 on my SGS3 :-)

  • Hmm really tempted. I love the nexus. Since my father and father-in-law both have one now I've been getting very jealous.

  • Anyone know if the samsung s3 in black is being sold anywhere in london yet?
