Have been following this from across the big pond and after initial thoughts of very cool but too far away I can't not try to get in on it, so I will give it a go at Seedrs and see if I can be a first adapter type on a global scale... don't know if it will work but here goes.
Good luck Velocio from day one on this forum you have impressed the bike shorts off me and I don't even swing like @Hippy.

All UK banks now use FPS (faster payments system) which should mean that funds are transferred within 2hrs now
Not always the case. HSBC now require codes and shit (technical term) and will delay payments to 'new' accounts, presumably for security checks or some rubbish.

Missed the part about UK residents only... Will get my Hackney based sister to go in on it!

The first trial amount from my bank (HSBC) shot over with no problems, the second seems to be hanging about. I strongly suspect it may have got caught in their fraud checking system, I shall give them a kick...

I didnt waste time with a small check amount. They probably have an amount which if under, passes through without issue and over, would need to be verified.
No point in wasting time with the minimum...

I wanted to make sure that I'd got the account details correct, with an amount that was fine to have mucked up with.

does someone need to produce a crib sheet of the answers that are required to stop people being rejected?
Bloody Nora - even I got the answers correct and I'm as thick as pig shit.
Just to clarify, I'm not prepared to lie in this instance when there are already plenty of people/organisations who decide that you're not informed enough to make decisions about what to do with your own money based on their misguided and prejudiced generalisations. Why would I bolster these misconceptions by pretending to belong to another category, essentially adding another layer of glazing to the glass ceiling above my own head and many many people like me?
I'm assuming it's my classification as clerical support worker / non-graduate / no prior experience of start-ups or investment that has made them consider me a liability, in which case, fuck them; but I hope they prove capable of supporting David's plans.

I assumed that was just part of the due-dilligence that the gov would make them go through before they parted people with their money.

Just waiting for the transfer to go through

It is due diligence and risk limitation.
Investing is gambling, they want to ensure you have the means, experience and nounce to gamble.
The risk limitation is for them, if you lost money and could claim to not be aware of the risks and that they took no steps to check you out... you could sue them in the future for far more than the fees will pocket them.
So they have to do it. It's not just a government required thing (it is that too), it's self-preservation by them. And they hope it's your own self-preservation too.

The same government that lets all those William Hills and Paddy Powers open everywhere..

Any idiot can gamble. Any idiot can lose all their money on a horse, dog, car, slot machine, etc. Why should investment 'gambling' be treated different to a casino?

Has that ever worked for someone losing big in a casino?
"They were called 'games'.. how was I to know it was real money man?!"
Anyway, OT >>>

So I read and understood all the pre-cursory information, had the means to invest (and potentially lose all of it), and yet because of my employment / educational / investment status, I'm rejected. Why not start the process with 'do you want to invest - tick these boxes - sorry fuck off before you read through anything else' or even make it a more sophisticated questionnaire with user generated answers, or even multiple choice?
It's an overly simplistic screening test that is meaningless but reinforces negative attitudes towards great swathes of the population, many of whom are more than capable of engaging. If you want to be an apologist for this kind of bullshit, I'd be tempted to say fuck you too.

Let's run away together and make babies with either unprovable or unacceptable identities.

This is going to screw your family trees. The offspring are going to give ancestry.co.uk a hell of a time piecing it back together. Which one of you gets to be the mother?

I've just submitted the proposal to Seedrs.
It will take them this afternoon to "revert" with any changes required, and that may take another 24 hours to fix and have checked.
At which point it will go live... Wednesday evening or Thursday morning. On the assumption that there are no major flaws in the proposal.
They've asked whether I want to make a video after they've checked the basic facts in the proposal, but I'm done with videos for now. Made one for YCombinator and the thing I've learned is that I may be thinning up top and I my knitwear will give the viewer conniptions.
tl;dr Submitted to Seedrs for checking. Assuming all is in order it will go live Wednesday afternoon or Thursday morning.
