  • Done so.

Figured that others might be interested too and that as he posted this morning he might be back to see replys?

  • anyone heard back? i emailed stock times but yet to hear back

  • Just a report on new software: I was having difficulties with premature turn off running the old software. Installed the latest 0.560 version and set button response to tough and they now stay on all the way home... Nice job.

Also to my eye, if you're trying to write words then going for a blocky 2 cell width for the letters makes them much more readable.

Yup, he's getting a shipment in at the end of the week, but from my understanding of his email they are all dibsed and going straight out again, tuere's another (bigger by the sound of it) order coming, but he didn't say when...

  • One of my battery clips has broken :(

Should be able to solder it back on tho!

  • MrDrem, hairnetnic - really glad to hear :) hope you enjoyed your bridges ride!
Khornight2 - yep, I'm reading new posts of course, it's just quicker to find me on email
rogan: whooops, gmail put it into spam box – just answered
-TA-: drop me a note if you're having difficulties with repairing – could be a warranty issue.
hairnetnic: Yesss! Happy that new software helped! And yea, bold letters on transparent (black) background look better, agree.

    More stock in now.

  • white ones too!

  • does anyone want to split the postage on 2?

  • comes to £29 each

  • Khornight2, rogan: thanks much for the announce :) white ones are not on site, but I'll return them one of these days. I've posted a pic on Twitter how they look.

Also, the software update is planned in the next week or two – we want to optimize a battery management a bit – to extract 3-4 more hours of work from this tiny AAA batt (+10-15% to lifetime) – that's ambitious, but I think possible :)
One more thing – the 'Brightness' slider – it will be possible to add 25-40% to the current brightness (or decrease it to save power, or set it to 'smart battery management' mode). Will be released soon :)

  • Two very slight things rr4m:

    1. Could it be possiable to put a design into a libary more than once? I'm doing a series of designs that should be fitted together (based on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Method_ringing), and would like to be able to set them up so I get the following sort of repeat:

    1.2.1.3.1.4.1.5.

I could do this by creating 5 versions of pattern 1 (1a, 1b, 1c, etc) but would rather just be able to use pattern 1 more times.

    1. This is a slight design request really, my wheels are 700c with 32 spokes, and my lights currently sit about a third of the way to the rim, would it be possiable to extend the 'tail' of the light unit so that they can sit closer to the rim? Has anyone else managed to solve this issue? if so, how?

Loving them for my ride home now though.

  • MrDrem: 1. Yep, I've thought about that – also will be useful for animations. I'll try to update the site in the evening.

    1. Email me a pic of your wheel, want to have a look. I have that huge 700c with 32 spokes as well – device sits near the rim. Let's work that out! :)
  • Anyone tried these?

Rainbow the way to go I think

"anvii" wheel AD: LED light painting on bicycle wheels - YouTube

I've got a set of the standard rainbow ones - I had them on an old Bridges Ride and CM (I was a early adopter). I have the design kit but only tried that once and tended to leave them on the standard patterns. (They havent been on my bike this winter)

They were cheaper than the competition at the time and came with 3 units to make a stronger pattern at a slower speed. They do add a bit of weight (9AA's + the units spaced around the wheel) and i got a pack of rechargeables to reduce the cost of running them.

I would recommend them, and anvii, but I've been thinking of selling mine as I'm not using them at the moment...

  • Have just ordered a Ledus - v excited, though fear neck-craning-to-see-patterns-in-shop-windows-falling-off-bike scenarios.

  • MrDrem: Updated the site. As requested – now it's possible to add the selected image to a library multiple times. And to make playlists like
    Image1 -> Image2 -> Image1 -> Image3 -> Image1 -> Image4 -> Image1 -> ...
Also fixed your lib, check it!

KT Bee: ah, thanks much! :) order processed and already on it's way to you!

  • ^ This is why we buy this blokes stuff.

  • They're here - hurrah!

  • rr4m, when will they be coming back in stock? and how much? thanks!

  • Mr Sword: Been a bit busy. Yea, support is an important part :) and I have to say – all feedbacks/questions are quite useful.
KT Bee - see, that was quick!
lemonade: emmm.. probably the next Wednesday, send me an email and I'll ping you then.

  • Ordered my Ledus yesterday. Excellent customer service, quick dispatch. I just hope I have them before I go on Christmas holiday next week, I'd hate the pillockton to miss out on them every morning.

  • Not sure if anyone has already posted these but I got here late, I ordered these a few days ago and they came today, they are great, turn many heads. They come with batteries and automatically turn off when you stop, and dirty cheap.

  • Not suitable for Presta valves...
