I dont think you could get a flatter transition than those bars and campag levers

nope, just route the cable properly. If you do it right they'll act to give you a flatter surface to rest your hands on

Sorry spotter exactly what bars are on that alvarez? (I assume it's that steel roadie of yours that I particularly like and agree the bars look very nice on, might have to look into them myself sometime)

I have double grooves on my tourer, and the unused groove feels a bit shit under the tape :/
