  • I must have seen you cycling down green lanes this morning then - just came here to post that I'd seen the Vigorelli with blue wheels. Glad to hear that you got it back!

Course I didn't pay for it.
He says his bro paid £170 for it at Brick lane.

I've got a Fahg, there no way my bike could have been stolen if I'd used it that day to lock it up.....

  • I have got my bike nicked yesterday evening. If anyone's seen it, please

Please, it's quite a unique bike, if you see it, PM me.

mate i really feel for you. obviously will be on the look out for this and got everything crossed

  • mate i really feel for you. obviously will be on the look out for this and got everything crossed

Thanks man, it is massively upsetting to put so much work on a bike and get taken from you like that. It's an unique bike, if anyone see it please lock down and PM me, I'll be anywhere as fast as I can.

  • be on ebay/scumtree ANY other places that forum ppl can help you to be on like a hawk

  • I'm seeing this http://bikeshd.co.uk/ at them moment, but I guess I will have to track down the parts. I think they won't be stupid enough to try to sell the entire bike on eBay/Gumtree, it's too customised.

  • never underestimate the stupidity of crims

  • STOLEN: Puch "super sprint"

Red frame (approximately 50 or 52 cm)
Converted to single speed (flip flop hub with blue halo fixed cog on one side)
Brown Charge saddle (unlike in the photo)
    Black chain ring
Raleigh North Handlebars (silver and slightly cut down) - some yellow fluorescent tape (no grips)

This is a bike much loved; was one of the first bikes i worked on and was given to a dear friend as a present. If you see it please let me know. If you have it, also please let me know and we can work something out.

    x thanks

  • Hi guys,

Girlfriend got her bike nicked outside Meat Liquor on the corner of Wellbeck and Henrietta W1U. Stock Charge Mixer 2010, roughly 50-52cm TT with the addition of Silver MKS pedals, black adjustable stem and near new Continental Gator Skins.

I know they're everywhere but just be on the look out for one with an articulating stem raised quite high.

Attached is a pic when it was bought. Currently not rocking the mudguards and with the changes mentioned above.

    Cheers guys

  • just had a woman running past my window screaming top of her voice , i didnt realise until it was too late she was chasing two bike theives , one of them nonchalantly cycling along texting his mates and the other one somewhat ahead with the goods . i feel for the woman ..... i hope someone stopped them but most people just dont wanna be involved ! very sad sometimes i really fucking hate this country , in fact maybe all the time !

  • Bikes are stolen in London at an alarming rate, are there ways to help gather evidence against those that think this is an ok thing to do to make a living/get kicks?

It sounds a little far fetched but 'm thinking bait bikes with hidden cameras. The police might be able to do more if we can show them a perps face.

Where do all of the bikes go?! So few seem to be spotted again in London, I feel very few end up in Brick Lane really, would they not be spotted more frequently if so?! Are they dismantled, resprayed, exported?! Gum tree is awful but who can spend hours trawling through the lsitings?! We shouldn't have to either! I think I saw my stolen bike up on ebay with different wheels, but who knows!? I even got outbid on it!!

It is so frustrating!! I want my stolen bike back! Do others feel the same way?!

  • I think in many cases if the thief knows what they're doing the bike gets broken down, the parts sold and the frame discarded, as it's worth more that way and the frame is the only part with a serial number.

  • A mate of mine had this Boardman stolen yesterday on Marshall Street W1. It's brand new - this was like it's second or third outing... Two locks front and rear, though I don't know what they were.

Boardman Comp SC 57cm, Stock wheels - CXP22's? Bontrager 120mm xxx stem, Selle Italia saddle, Truativ Elita cranks running fixed 48/16, white Shimano spd's and mismatched tyres - Conti front and random rear.

If you see it slap a lock on it and give me a call on zero 797 two 70123 five. Reward in beer!

  • ^ shouldn't be too hard to spot. These aren't available in UK, I believe..

  • Thanks for posting it for me Gav86...I should have pointed out it isn't brand new, but new to me this week, so really gutted!

I offer to reward with beer as well.

The frame number is 5480937066 if anyone sees one similar and wants to check. I have recorded it stolen with every registration service I could find so far.

I offer a reward in beer on top of Gav86's offer!

  • Oops...mentioned beer twice...but would happily buy two for anyone who finds it!!! :-(

  • Two? Is that all..?

You can always buy it at brick lane tomorrow for £100

  • Hi guys,

Just got this Cube stolen from my secure lock up last night from Highbury and islington. gonna have a look down brick lane. If anyone sees one being ridden by some kids let me know.

    Cheers,

  • where is the lock up?

  • its just off arundel square near liverpool road. its in an underground car park in a locked bike shed. they used an angle grinder to get through and stole a few bikes.

  • [QUOTE=Athila;2986254]

Athila, I am so sorry, this is such a special bike. I will keep an eye out, obviously.

I know it makes no difference as it won't be the same if you were to have to rebuild it from scratch, buuut, is it insured?

  • The annoying think is that I was looking for insurance for my bikes. Something I don't have now.

    ^

  • Athila, any updates?

Stintane, thats rotten luck, is there CCTV or anything down there, a guard?

No news on the bike, I have the CCTV videos for the POlice, but they didn't came to pick up yet. I might drop them at the Police station in Borough High Street. It's quite annoying that we know the exact time and direction, I'm pretty sure they could get the public CCTV footage for the time and just follow the guys until where they stop.

But I'm pretty sure they won't do, I do believe that MET don't look for bikes/stolen items.

Apollo, where does it say this? I've checked the last three pages and I cannot see it.
