  • (Aside from something strong added to your tea/coffee), Sparkling wine is the only real acceptable thing to be drinking before 12pm.

  • Anchor Porter with a big fried breakfast is excellent. Really compliments the black pudding.

  • I enjoyed cider from a box at 0900ish in my sleeping bag the other week, alci days are great.

  • Not at breakfast, just enjoyed Northern Brewery "Deep Dark Secret" a very nice Liquorice Porter with Sunday Roast.

  • after rolling to the stones one year we headed back to salisbury and had two fry ups and a double helping of some bitter or other in a wetherspoons
perfect way to start the day admittedly it was 10 am so not properly morning !

  • I just got back from Romania and breakfast beer seems fairly common there, from village farmers on the side of the road to '20 something's' at fancy bars/café's in the cities. My type of place

  • Had the misfortune of being bought a newcastle brown the other day, god it's piss.
Drunk next to something decent like doom bar it just makes you want to cry.

  • yes we're luckily so spoilt with decent beer at the moment. I had a can of kronbeneburg yesterday at a festival in Leicester since the beer tent was closed. Dire stuff probably worse than newcastle brown

  • Are there any widely available lagers that taste ok? I can get a red stripe down, but compared to the quality of most ales in the supermarket I can't think of any that are genuinely tasty.

  • i like san miguel export the 5.4% one
    quite a nice taste

  • Cobra beer isn't bad.

  • Budvar isn't too bad. Budweiser is utter shite.

  • I don't mind weak american piss because it's basically a mildly alcoholic soft drink. If there's no decent ale available I'll happily neck 5 bottles of Bud, ice cold and delightfully tasteless.

  • Weak American piss. True and if you're in the mood why not.
Tonight it's Old Tom followed by the smokey aecht schlrnferla rauchbier, (pic to follow)

  • old tom is nice.
    anyone tried st peter's ruby?

  • best.bottle.ever.

  • Had some London Fields Brewery pale ale the other day. Was pleasantly impressed.

  • The st peters beers ain't bad, apart from their main, run of the mill one, which is bland.

  • They had a very nice stout.

They never quite live up to their bottle. Still tasty though.
