  • So i picked up a Vivalo NJS track frame on here a little while ago, i've been trawling the buy and sell and just buying bits as i go, you will notice some inspiration from the HHSB thread for this.

Anyway its finally built up, not to my ideal spec, but for the time being it will do nicely.

Note, as of today i have bar tape, and i have a Concor saddle on its way. A NJS seat post is also on the horizon.

  • No drive side shot? :O

Good idea for the saddle change,
    looks nice!

  • Whoops, will sort one out soon, and thanks mate.

  • raises more questions than it answers
    why MSW rims?
what is that in the seattube?
    where are bar end plugs?
why spokes are sliver in the front and black in the back?

  • The forums turned into velospace..

  • "that" in the seat tube looks like a shim.

the finish of the frame is something special.
let me know if you will need some chain bling:)

  • Like I said not quite how I want it but it's ride able so I'm happy, the seat post is temporary, as are the rims, and the rear hub. Bar tape and end plugs are now fitted. It's in current projects for a reason, watch this space guys. Cheers

  • good straps

  • What risers are that?

  • The forums turned into velospace..

    Valve caps

  • Bar is nitto 260aa.

  • Love it, one of the nicest finishes I've ever seen on an NJS track bike. Nooice

  • Thanks all for the comments. Update, Concor saddle, folding gator hardshell, and bar tape fitted. I also painted the rear rim, and fitted an 18t in place of the 19t, looks much better i think.

  • Matching rims would improve the look massively

  • Do you ride with a frontbrake? Or isn't that the reason you didn't paint the front rim.

  • Gaston would approve of your saddle position

  • I'm going to paint the front rim when i have some masking tape, no brakes, the frame is staying un-drilled. :)

H+son formation face is going on the rear eventually,

  • mega wanting, have to get myself an HHSB NJS now.

  • well on the way to being fully sick .....nice one

  • Anodized tb14's

    or gtfo...

  • How did you paint those wheels, rattle cans? I'm thinking of doing the same.

  • Looking good.
What's the story behind the semi-paintjob?

  • Great stuff :)

aesthetically i reckon that saddle could do with being moved back a tad on teh rails, although if that's the position you like ignore me

  • What's the story behind the semi-paintjob?

Yes what is the story, i want one

  • What's the story behind the semi-paintjob?

I think it's the Vivalo in this classifieds listing, so:

the orginal seat tube got damaged and had to be replaced. this was done by ryan at Oak cycles. it is a great joba nd looks as good as new. although it only had a coat of lacquer on the tube so will need a spray if you want it to be good as new. there is some surface rust on it at the moment (see in the pictures) but nothing major.
