Sweet, sent him an email. Got an old frame that I can use for a while, can't wait to get a shiny polo specific one though.

extremely nice polo bike, but i don't understand why make them so beautiful for them to get crashed, bent and broken. I'de be gutted if that bike was mine and say the fork bent on a crash, or even a full whack to the spokes on those nice wheels.

Because you can.
Even though it will get fucked, I'd rather build a nice looking bike, than an ugly one.

100% agree with John
I'd rather spend my money on my bikes than anything else , I love riding/playing polo on the 14 & can't see myself riding anything else now & if something breaks beyond repair.....save up & buy a new one ! I thought after spending money on it I'd have some kind of buyers remorse but in fact I feel the opposite , everytime I look at it/ride it I smile ! -

Can't wait to have that same feeling on my Max Power...

For me it's a complicated dynamic between riding-time/enjoyment/value:
I ride my polo bike a lot, enjoy it the most, and spending more wouldn't make it much better - total cost c£600.
I ride my commuter the most, enjoy it the least, but spending less would make it unreliable - total cost c£1000.
I ride my road bike the least, enjoy it in the middle, but have no need for anything better - cost £500. -

I wish I could live by that logic.

I probably overthink these things, and most working days I have to explain to people why £400 is not an unreasonable amount to spend on a bike, and £4000 is justifiable for some.
Ultimately, if you want it and can afford it, it's nobody else's business.

My new Axl/Marino polo bike, feels so strong and handles really well.

I'd also recommend this to anyone running discs, the only dual movement cable caliper I've seen. almost feels like a hydraulic

is it not the bending of the disc that gives mechanical disc brakes such good modulation, no?
oh and nice bike!

Nicest polo bike Cranks has ever seen I reckon!

No, it's the bending of the disc that makes them squeak a lot.

The thing to be aware of, is where you put the oiler. try to avoid putting it anywhere near either end of the cable span, as when you spray in GT85 it will just jizz if out of the closest end, and never penetrate down the longer stretch of cable.
On the rear brake, I run one oiler, just by the headset, and it happily oils the whole lot, I don't think you need two oilers.
Here y'are chandy:
So is there any need to put an oiler on the front cable if it's just running to a v brake?
