As a foreign you're not even up for the running and Hillbilly's frankly odious policy regarding bacon paved streets is making me sway against voting him in.
I do, however, favour the Fuck The World sentiment which you included as the end of your pitch.

I have found some pedals to buy and I was wondering...
Are they ok for skidding?
Thats the pedals : MKS Sylvan Pedals with Rapid Cage & White Leather Strapthnx in advance.
-
• #28263
I always thought it was tyres that skidded. Maybe I was wrong all those years.

Obviously I mean if these pedals will do the job and not brake down or something...

I'm also looking for a new pedal/shoe combo.
I've been using Wiggle's DHB1 mountain bike shoes, but the soles have cracked. Currently the bike has Crank Brothers egg beaters on, as I'd thought that it might be a bit of a theft deterant, but I'm not sure what role they might have had in the shoe cracking in less than two months.
so, I'm looking for shoe/pedal combos, not too expensive, and I'd rather have a recessed cleat if possiable, if not, I guess that I can go down the cafe-cover route.
Thanks people!

Send the shoes back.

27.2 inline seatpost 400mm in length
Cheap and robust with two bolt clamping mech similar to a Thomson.
It's for when trainees use my bike so does not have to be flash or special.
Any suggestions?

Send the shoes back.
That bit is already in hand. I'm just not confident in the combo now, so was looking for different options.
Just better shoes might do it, but given that my last set (lidl ones) went in a simular way (but with spd's and after over a year) I'm wondering if the small pedal base is an issue.

No I think it was referring to the picture of the cyclist with the fetching animal print bag riding on the yellow lines, that is Sumo.
