  • Clearly acting, as I never smile in earnest.

    I concede, this is true.

  • Boo

  • Ahhh, Southeastern Trains hell. Welcome to my world.

  • Boo

    blargh!

Note: ludwig was toying with the idea of grabbing a murderking as he missed you so much Chris.

  • I've got a fee one on Sunday if anyone fancies a bit of an epic/recon ride (weather permitting)

  • ben, might be in for that, but got to get home for the footie, so whats the approx finishing eta?

  • ^ depends on the weather but probably heading out about 9 and returning about 2ish for a nice pub lunch somewhere.

  • and surely you're more interested in catching the end of the Amstel Gold?

  • ben, don't want to drag the football thread into TNRC, but the mighty spurs in FA Cup Semi Final shocker, isn't something I can miss..

  • What are you reconning?

  • Chinny?

  • I'm either going to ride out and back to a northern-flat route (WGC perhaps) or get the train out towards the Chilterns and hit something a little more lumpy. Open to suggestion if you'd prefer one over another.

  • I could potentially do something north with a meet at Pond Square about 9?

I need to get a clearance pass first though.

  • if doing the chilterns ben you might want to consider what a clusterfuck it has been getting bikes on trains for TNRC out of marylebone. seriuosly, we had to fuck the fuck off from the chilterns route (which was a beauty) cos of the fuck that is fuck fuck fuck

  • what was it jonny? I missed that one.

  • in summary, chilterns is fucked

  • I may be able to remedy the situation. #vague

the Chilterns wasn't precisely a recon for a new route but it's an interesting idea. I might have a chat with the train company about it... hmm.

  • Metropolitan line from baker street will take you to Amersham or Chesham and is a good deal cheaper than the Chiltern line.

  • ^ yeah but seats are too bouncy on the metropolitan line. helmets mandatory

This is true of the A-stock but the S-stock should be less so. Also the S-stock has big open spaces perfect for bikes, just not sure if you can put bikes on at Baker Street (you can at Finchley Rd).

  • I don't go on the Metropolitan line, as you just end up in the middle of nowhere.

  • Didn't realise the seats were that cramped.
