It's true. The whole of The One Show are sniffing keys off Alex Jones' norks just out of shot.
Fixed.

I do want to see 'The Hunger Games' this week. 'Act of Valor' also looks interesting, more from the production aspect as opposed to the content. They have real Navy Seals in it!
Last week I saw 'The Devil Inside' which was fairly predictable, but well made. 'Contraband' was ok I suppose, you get what you expect with a Wahlberg movie, right?
'21 Jump Street' - which I thought was going to be total shit, turned out to be quite funny and enjoyable. I was surprised by the 'surprise cameo' too. Perhaps I was just feeling nostalgic for the 80s.Which lead me to watch 'Take Me Home Tonight' mainly because of the whole pseudo 80s movie styling. It was probably the soundtrack that drew me in. Not big on story, but I did enjoy it for some reason. I got the 'Rise of the Planet of the Apes' dvd so I re-watched that, still holds. Also got 'Take Shelter' which I have not watched yet.

Recently watched 'My Murder', It's a TV drama on BBC but meh. Found it quite harrowing, but a good watch.
Finally went and bought 'Tinker Taylor Soldier Spy' on DVD, loved it. Full of suspense. To anyone who've seen 'The Hunger Games', is it like a teeny bopper version of 'Battle Royale? Thinking of going to see it this week to see what's all the hubub is about.

Anyone got any good French language films to recommend? I really struggle with my hearing when conversing in French and films are a good way for me to practice. I'm not talking Godard or Jeunet but definitely something contemporary?

Also check out The City of Lost Children. Though I've just realised this and Delicatessen are both directed by Jeunet.

Yes they are. I do really love both but was looking for something a bit more serious. I might try some Moroccan titles.

What dictates how much a film can be advertised on the BBC? For the last couple of weeks "The Hunger Games" has been plugged again and again. The distributors must know a way in, and I'm intrigued to know what it is.
^ Cynical, much? -

Has anyone seen The Woman In The Fifth?
It stars my all-time girl crush Kristin Scott Thomas
and Ethan Hawke.

I really couldn't stand her in Partir so I've avoided her films since. Couldn't say why...

As a younger man, yes.
I'd have left her looking like a painters' radio.

Amelie? I remember really enjoying it its just a happy film nothing too challenging.
Favourite French film is 'The Chorus' or Les Choristes. It's brilliant I've seen it loads of times. Although again its more of an amusing feel good film -

Also A Very Long Engagement by Jeunet, similar cast to his other films including Tatou.
