what are the bars?

Could do with a few links out of the chain but rather nice
-
• #58631
Why do you have a chain tensioner?
-
• #58632
Bars are Belleri. First single speed - bought the tensioner for at different newer bike but ended på wanting to have this as a ss instead. just thougt it was nicer with it on since I have it. Chain will be shortened. Thank you.

Chainset actually doesn't look quite as bad as I feared...

I bought a secondhand Tifosi pista frame as a replacement for my Rih.
From this;
To this;
But I'm already riding the Rih frame again because I didn't really like the aluminium frame.

• #58635
The pista frame looks a bit smaller, was it the right size?
-
• #58636
The Rih is 63cm with a 58cm toptube. And the Pista 58cm with 57,5 toptube. I'm still in doubt what frame I like to ride. The pista was pretty fast but I don't like how it looks and I can drop the Rih everywhere without fearing it gets stolen.

Point is, since your bike have a horizontal drop out, there's no need whatsoever to have a chain tensioner.

^ He said the chain will be shortened in the post you quoted, ed. give the man a break!
Oh wait sorry I heard you're pregnant. Having a child is tough but just try not to take it out on others!

I thought it was to reduced the amount of slack?

The chain would need to be shortened even if the tensioner stayed, but as a distinct issue the tensioner is unnecessary. It doesn't mean it's wrong just because Ed said it.

No, that's the exercises you do after the birth

Sunny sunday means taking pictures of your favourite shit right?
Just so happens I just made finishes to all of the steeds in the stable...got my rat beater running, yellow tape left over from the track build getting grubby, perfect. stripped the threads on the rear hub though, so if anyone has a 27" rear fixed wheel they want to sell then let me know...
got a shorter stem on my Hobbs, so hopefully my countryside rides will be free of back pain... got a lovely badged primo stem to replace the badged cinelli, though its bent to fuck, and the bars are skewed at an angle, so will be on the lookout for some bendier south of france style bars to lessen the visibility of the twist.
I've posted my track frame before in here and in the classifieds, the bloke who said he'd buy it hasn't been in touch for a while, and today I decided Id give it a go this week as it feels like I may be able to get used to it..
now has a yellow stamped cinelli unicanitor and titan adjustable track stem on which makes it a bit taller and shorter, which were the main problems.
If anyone has a 59+cm track frame from the 60s that they want to sell or even trade for this one then let me know
the saddle angle looks completely ridiculous, but its the only way I can get comfortable on it, otherwise it abuses my pipes like no girlfriend could..
tl;dr.

lower your damn saddle then.
-
• #58647
Love the Mercian.
-
• #58648
What ed says, lower your saddle. And you can push it a bit to the front I guess, for when the drop to your bars is to long.
-
• #58649
alas the 'damn' frame is too small, so my leg extension is pretty short cause of the high BB, equalling high saddle and wanker saddle position. still got some adjusting to do throughout the week so its comfortable, as I can see the pressure on my wrists becoming too much at this angle.
will play with pushing it forwards as well, though I think it is fairly near the end at the moment.

Raise the stem about an inch, there should be some available.
got a boner. seriously.
