  • Sorry to hear this. Here's a picture of my bike which is the same colour and de-stickered too for an idea of what you're looking for.
Please don't d-lock me by mistake though....

  • was he:

    []IC1 White person
    [
    ]IC2 Mediterranean person
    []IC3 African/Caribbean person
    [
]IC4 Indian, Nepalese, Pakistani, Maldivian, Sri Lankan, Bangladeshi, or any other (South) Asian person
[]IC5 Chinese, Japanese, or South-East Asian person
    [
]IC6 Arabic, Egyptian or Maghreb person
    [*]IC0 Origin unknown

He was not white. He was of light skin, but of mixed origin. And not overweight. Maybe just wearing oversized clothing. Very slim in the face (Cheeks; H/C?)

  • Is that a picture from the theft, George? Were you there?

  • Yeah, I was holding his crack pipe whilst he used the boltcutters.

  • scrotes! good luck in finding them

  • i am amazed that nobody is missing the koga. i felt physically sick as soon as i saw it. the seller wanted £150 and knew nothing about bicycles :-(

One of the traders told me about it on the market on Wednesday...think the seller got spooked because everybody kept telling him that it was clearly stolen.

  • anything else gone, or suspect it was just for the bikes?

The sheer number of toe rags out there actively operating in London must be in the order of 1000+ :(
probably worth posting the rocky mountain on singletrackworld, those guys have eyes and ears all over the place

  • yeah< that is the thief. George thanks for all your help over the weekend too. Been out all weekend to the usual haunts of where stolen bikes are sold. No sign of the bike and I was approached by the gangs on many occasions - gee it is a rough scene.

  • to WVM
thanks for posting the image of your bike - yes my bike is like that accept most parts are silver so I wont mistake your's with mine!

  • hoefia - I have just realised that yes -it is the description that George gave - dang! out all weekend trying to find it< its rough

  • George< thanks for posting the image of the thief attempting to sell my bike on Columbia Rd.

  • My beautiful small blue Charge Plug 2011 stolen today from Columbia Road flower market in broad daylight with hundreds of people around and two locks on it. If anyone saw anything or if you see the bike being sold in any of the usual dodgy places (brick lane, london fields) please let me know

  • probably the same guy mentioned earlier on ebay:
    http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/tolpuddle-corner/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_from=&_ipg=&_trksid=p3686

so pissed, my girlfriend got hers stolen last night, in the crowded brick lane...
just across "all star lanes", secured with a chain in an inner tube, grrr!

  • That's terrible cuts22. Wish I had seen something as I was out looking for my bike all weekend, to include Broadway Mkt. There is CCTV at the market, with number 255 if that helps.

By the way, never lock your bike at Columbia Rd, dont you know what is at the top end (Hackney Rd entrance)

  • George your description would be more correct than mine as I was chasing him from behind. making effort to upload bike image now.

  • "I was approached by the gangs on many occasions"

    please expand?

  • approached as in not in a good way, I stood by them all day to see if someone would attempt to sell my bike. They got twitchy by my constant presence and eventually sent various people to ask what I was doing, was I Police etc etc. advised me to go away and not come back, I told them I would be back next weekend - all day until I found my bike. Then they made threats etc. same old bully banter

  • can someone convert that link of the image onto this thread< thanks

  • YEAH.............thanks adroit
