Regardless of whether it is, you should edit the ad out of your post, Al Blayney, and PM cuts22. If you post the ad here, the thief may well notice it and take it down. Get in touch with the CTF. They have a lot of practice in recovering bikes through Gumtree ads. See here: http://www.lfgss.com/thread52193.html
Good luck.

Think I found my stolen ribble on ebay yesterday (completed sale). I'm up shit creek without a frame serial number though. kicks self some more

is this it?
gumtree ad
There is no way that is a medium frame. I have the small plug and the head tube on that photo looks like an XS frame to me.

I've just had the below stolen from the bottom of Broadway market, outside the chemist by the pie and mash shop.
Black 2010 Condor Potenza
White forks
Black Condor seat post
Black Segino 75 cranks/chain ring
Nito risers, plugs and stem. no grips
ARAYA RC-540 rims
Shimano dura ace hubs
gum wall tyres front and back
black san marco saddle
black double condor strapsi was in the door way of the chemist, with view of the bike and then i saw the wheel move and some kid jumped on it and i just about grabbed him and then he slipped literally out of my fingers and spun off west down the canal. about 5/10 5/11, blue skinny jeans, purple vans, grey top, kind of maybe spanish looking. hundreds if people about...
i wasn't expecting to be stopping so had no lock, but at no point could i not see at least part of the bike - I've learnt my lesson there as you can imagine. i feel like a complete dick. the bike was my absolute pride and f*&cking joy...
i haven't got many pictures as it is but i will post what i do have later. i will reward handsomely for info or return.

if your reading this my dirty fingered, lucky friend... i love that bike very much and i will take my loss out on your face if i ever see you.

just had my racing bicycle stolen in camberwell, it was a blue 'PENDLE' branded audax frame, 520 reynolds steel, with black forks. grey womens specialized seat and silver blackburn rack, with gatorskin tyres, and the seatclamp and wheels all had my pitlock on it, so the fuckers better not get a puncture. keep your eyes peeled please. many thanks. if you see it give the bike a puncture and i will go and offer to fix it for them!

miet, same again< will keep my eyes out over next weekend at the markets. I will download images to my phone.

anybody know this guy???????

"The price will slightly vary depending on the setup so please get in touch for more details".
Is that tealeaf speak for "we steal to order"?

^photos look too "arty" to be thieved but you never know.
fwiw you can quite easily fix a puncture without removing a wheel
miet: Sorry for your loss, I'm sure you'll agree though that when it comes to bikes in london, never leave it anywhere unlocked otherwise you never can be safe.

They might have thieved a camera too? ;-)
Although I'm sure none of those bikes will be for sale now; they've probably just nicked those photos from somewhere. Sure they'll have a nice new stock of 'handbuilt' bikes though...

Thanks, Glock17, could you perhaps edit your post to remove the info again? I've PMed the owner with it. Thieves sometimes see the info posted in this thread.

Was just about to do the same, got a screen grab of the ad if it gets deleted and the owner wants it.

I don't think it's miet's as there's a lot of differences from the picture / description. I've pm'd fridaymarch13th(sp?) as he had a Condor nicked recently.

Did these come with a white fork as standard? I only looked at the white fork as an identifying mark, but that may well not be very important if so. I thought they might have have changed the bars and saddle, but others probably see even more differences.
-
• #7946
The chainring's different too. I think there's another one reported stolen some time back in this thread.
#searching.... -
• #7947
Yep, there's actually a few over the years including another black with white forks (but none matching the Gumtree one) so I guess they were a standard 'option'. It defo smells a wrong'un at that price.

Sure. Any pointers on how i edit my post?
Just spent the last 15 mins clicking all over the place to no avail.
Sorry. -
• #7949
thank you guys but i don't think its it. the white forks do come standard although mine are threaded, which is not standard....
something else to look out for is the wheels/rims - they're pretty much brand new (the front wheel is actually on the wrong way according to the tire tread but i havent had time to flip it). njs dura ace hubs, you do see... araya rc-540 you don't! i had to import them from Japan recently... also there is a 28c 'Rivendell roughly toughy' on the back and a 25c' Panracer pasela' on the front... both gum wall.
the stem is a very stubby nito, nito chopped down risers and nito metal bar ends...
the frame has a small ding on the top tube and a paint scab that is covered by a bit of black gaffa tape.
double black condor straps (gold logo) on single small nks toe clips... i know where every scratch is on the bike components. wheels are new, frame components are about 2 years, set is about 3 months.
everyone i know in east london now has an eye out for it. if the bike is in this area, part or whole, it will only be a matter of time. i wouldnt like to be the cunt who took it, i know what he (and his mate) look like and i will not hessitae to treat the matter in the same underhanded, dirty manner that the bike was taken in..
thanks again.

Sorry.Towards the bottom right of your post in the thread is a blue edit link. Click on that and the rest should be obvious.
I went to brick lane once with a friend to look for a stolen bike.
Left a Met Police lanyard hanging out of my pocket. noone even had the balls to look me in the eye.
pussies. bunch of thievin cnuts. really gets to me that ignorant nodders support their ways
