I got one of these to satisfy my chunky/techy watch craving:
Still fancy a G-Shock as well though.
I have a Core as well, but in a real ugly colour scheme;
Maybe that why I got it for cheap...

"real ugly" matches everything else you haz.

Don't worry, the 'real ugly' one got stolen last weekend, so it'll just be your bog garden standard 'ugly' now.

Yeah all the coloured bezel ones look a bit off to me.

Here's the watch I've got;
Was asked if I'd like a watch for my last birthday and this is perfect, never have to worry about the battery. It looks very good (IMO) not yellow gold. Have worn it to cycle in as It's small on the wrist, wouldn't want to do that all the time though with the strap being leather.

^^ Oh, that's quite nice. I thought they were only black.

needed some time to get used to it.. but once you do... it's nice,
always gets people staring in the train to what the time is, and they turn their head confused away cause they thought it was 6 oclock instead of 3 :)

^ I'd MISS my train if I had that watch!

That is something I can verify..... especially in the early days since I've got it..

is that botta watch by mario botta? it looks like his sort of style but i'd have thought it was unlikely he'd started up his own watch brand. Mind you, most watches look a bit botta, what with them being round and all...

while trying to find a cheap source for polywatch i found this from another website
autosol appears to be just as effective and a massive saving on the price

from timezone.com
My tube of Polywatch cost me under £4...
Sorry if I missed something... -

I just picked up my modded skx from the watchmaker. chapter ring is slightly off so he will have to refit that.
I am really looking forward to post some photos. It is very nice. -

It's from Klaus Botta, a german brand, though can see some similiar things in designs of Mario Botta as an architect.. But it's not the same guy.

i like the bold pronouncement of 'japanese movement' have watch makers been doing this for a while has anybody noticed?

I quite like that Casio g-shock that vb posted up the 1300b, anyone seen where I could get one cheap. Thinking of getting an everyday replacement for the seiko which isn't getting back to me for another month or two, and will then be modded by the hammer wielding Murtle...

I've just bought the missus a 1982 Air King - it's her 30th birthday this weekend.
I'm currently trying to shorten the bracelet to her minuscule wrist size, but the links appear to be welded in place. As a last resort, I'll hold it over a gas burner (Dammit style) in order to melt the loctite that's been there for 30 years.
Any suggestions (other than a Hammer, Murts) will be appreciated.

Have you got a link removal tool? If not, i have one you're welcome to use...
^^ Super cheap.That auction would be a good one to win though as it appears to come with the after-market lugs which allow you to fit any normal band you want. The lugs are pretty pricey to buy on their own (or were last I looked).
