  • Oopsy!

  • wtf happened with the left lever?

  • sorry for the hijack, there was a thread a while ago where a guy working with the police in brighton or something dispensed advice on tagging bikes. it wasn't immobilise or bike shepherd I think, something with rfid technology possibly.
been searching the forum for ages, there really isn't a bike tagging thread?

    was it this?

first google result for 'rfid bike tagging'

Of course there is. Here you go: http://www.lfgss.com/thread38155-118.html

  • Too slow.

  • I arrived at work and found this in the middle of the road.

At first I assumed that the bike stands had been crashed into and the bike must have been locked to the stands. On closer inspection the bike isn't locked and there isn't any sign of a broken lock. There's also a helmet, I'm not sure who this belongs to.

I hope that the bike hasn't been involved in an accident with a vehicle and the bike stands as if this is the case it looks pretty nasty.

    Anyone know more?

What is it that attracts white vans to trash pink bikes?

    ^ Shocking pink.

The one in the OP is, arguably, light purple.

  • Saw this in Holborn a few months ago. TWO new series Moulton's... about £5,000 a piece, locked with one of those crap fold-out flat metal locks. Couldn't believe it!!! Maybe it was a Police stunt!! (Sorry that the photo isn't up to much)

  • Saw this corker the other day:

I expect the owner was Dutch

  • had someone attempt to D lock their bike to my D lock, which is stupid, but they also failed to do this and had turned the key without having the lock in properly, so it was kind of dangling around mine. Had to prop it all together as best as it could be and ride off.

  • I expect the owner was Dutch

Swiss... Well, it was in switzerland.

  • That explains it... few bikes get stolen in the land of the Toblerone

  • I wonder if people ever see us taking photos of their / other people's bikes and think about reporting us to the police.

a guy watched me taking a photo of his shitty langster and thought i was just really impressed by his bike.
he'd just put a d lock though a fence and round his seat post. like that^

  • Bike's kinda anti too...

  • ^^ Create, innit.

  • It's all about Creates in Coventry... The "yoof" seem to be moving onto Dolans at the moment though...

    Oi! what you sayin'?

  • Feel like shearing this here...

I wish i had my camera last night, i was riding home at about 1 in the morning, saw 3 bikes stupidly locked up, the first was locked through the front wheel and over the stem with a cable lock, second was locked up with one of those Kryptoflex cables buy using the Krypto' Dlock as a padlock just hanging on the floor, last one was locked to a lamp post by the rear quick release wheel with a shoe string of a lock

Sad thing was, all the bikes were easily worth over 100 pounds, hopefully i find no broken locks this morning!

  • Coventry bike crime is more of a "gimme yer bike or I'll stab you" when riding through subways etc. To thick to figure out how to cut bike locks...

  • But clever enough to cut humans.

  • i came out of john lewis on oxford street yesterday to find that i had locked my bike just round the seat post!

    WAC

luckily it looked like it was properly locked and looks like a a POS anyway :)

  • ^^Indeed...
