And only unpractical if you have bricks for feet.
My Cheaney brogues are heavy and hard as nails,
still prolly my most comfy pair of footwear.I think homeboy likes shoes like this

if they're roomy i'd be tempted to get a size smaller, leather shoes stretch if anything
perhaps you can go to a shop and try a smaller size before sending back?
also I would've tried some on but I think id get stabbed if I asked anyone in Glasgow if theres anywhere that stocks Trickers...

For that kind of money i'd rather pay 300 for perfect than 250 for almost. On the other hand, they could sort themselves out, and if not:

trickers have just arrived. slightly loose around the heel and a bit of room in the toebox, but still pretty comfy. should I keep em?
Yes. They are thick leather shoes and will take time to wear in and become flexible. Hence why if you wear someone else's old leather shoes they feel very uncomfy even when the size is right.

Yup, I'd send them back, as you say they're a pair of lifers, you want them to fit right.

yer thats what i kinda fear, but roomy is an overstatement. basically my heel can move up and down in the back by about 1cm. when i push my foot into the toebox theres just enough room for a shoehorn to slide in.
ive been trying them on and taking them off for the last 2 hours and still cant decide. I think 1/2 size smaller would be better but they sold out in the sale...
1cm is the difference between sizes. As yourself: would you be comfortable with over a 1cm of movement down the line?

Call the manufacturer and tell them you got the shoes as a pressie from a relative that's flown back and you love the shoes but would like them a size/ half a size smaller.

Finsbury Shoes of France. Various colours of course, but I like the tan and brown colours best.
This thread deserves to get back on track.

Aleksi and nuknow, you guys haven't got many black friends eh? Pisti and TS are alright, but I think you two guys might try that humour on someone you actually know? Otherwise it just comes across as a bit wrong.

^^^I don't get what you're digging at Nuno posted a gif of Eddie Murphy - before TS had posted anything.
Aleksi posted a pitcture that guy from phonejacker, who pretends to be an African account manager - which you would think references the whole African business student thing TS said about.
Seems unnecessary to try and make either of them feel bad for something - other than ripping on the shoe styles you have posted. Which is what was going on.
Alternatively there could be some hidden subtext, that's gone straight over me...
