  • He's shill bidding..

    Interesting...
Would be good to see another case opened against him before mine even comes up in front of the ebay justice league.
Really appreciate you putting yourself out like this. Will beer you up in return and put that 1.5kg back on.

  • 81.1 today so .3 down on last week which is sod all really. id not really kept an eye on what I was eating to be honest. move house next weekend so this week will be mad. can't wait to get settled at the new place and claw some kind of routine back.

  • Also looking at joining the cycle club where we are moving too. Seem like a good bunch.

  • 160lb / 72.5kg

    6lb from target

    Getting excited

  • All you can eat pizza party to celebrate?

  • New carbon bike and pizza to celebrate - plus beer

  • Beautiful run to work this morning 3.5 miles (5k), my first proper run since Christmas and I'm impressed at sub 25 minutes . I feel great now eating porridge at work and I feel like It's going to be a good week.

I'll update my weight as of yesterday on the chart too. 81.1 at the moment what's the chances of hitting sub 80 at the end of this week or this that a completely unachievable goal unless I dehydrate myself?

1.1kg in pounds seems to be about 2.4 pounds.

  • 'Safe'/ sustainable weight loss has often been said to be no more than 1kg/ week.
But yes you can lose that in a week, without dehydration or unnecessary starvation.
    Get it done!
    I'm aiming for 71 kgs.
in 4 weeks I hope to be sub 70, and by mid march somewhere 65-68, which I will then maintain/ build some muscles.

  • Running and cycling most days for me then.

My biggest worry is the IT band trouble I'm still getting. Been stretching and using exercises the physio gave me. I've also ordered some speed play pedals which should be an end to the knee pain, can't flipping wait.

Oh and I'm going to do my best to be sub 80kg this weekend, even with moving house and being so busy this week.

  • Having finaly got myself signed up for a gym, I've discovered just how much not going to one has knocked out my arm muscles.

I used to be able to swim distances fine, it was just the boredom of lengths that made me give up. This time I could barely manage 250m before the pain kicked in. Not good.

So, I'm back for more, looking to extend the distance in my lunchtimes, which means less time for brousing supermarkets for offers on crap to eat, so will hopefully kill that bad habit, and more calories burnt instead, and my arms get some use too. Sounds like Win all round, but the table here will be one of the big judges.

I'll weigh myself again when I trot down there this lunchtime, and see where I'm up to.

  • 72.4kg this morning.

Lightest I've been since I've been since I was 16!

Hopefully another good week and I will be comfortably in the 71s and then sub 70 by mid feb.

  • I've been losing weight unintentionally over the past few months, which is slightly worrying. (I'm down to 60kg now) I've started working so am cycling 6 miles a day/5 days a week, am on my feet all day, but I'm still eating the same or less than when I was unemployed due to frequently missing breakfasts in the morning due to lack of time etc. I think this has been the cause of my general feeling of fatigue etc over this last few months.

So I'm looking to up my calorie intake in a healthy manner - Plus extra protein as I'm planning to start lifting again - Anyone got any ideas for quick and convenient calorie and protein dense foods that I can get in around a busy schedule?

  • Milk.

Or read the last few pages of this thread...

  • Well lost a little bit which is a surpirse considering the lack of exercise, but getting into my wetsuit yesterday really hit home how much i need to lose!
So voicing my goal here, stone and a half by april, bank holiday weekend as that is a big dive trip and will help tail into the cricket season starting the end of April, need to massively up my fitness level too. Anyone know where i can get some of this 'zone' that runners talk about, i can't find it anywhere!

  • You'll find the zone just keep at it. The high you get from it is great.

Running to work I was well and truly in the zone, although I wish I didn't have a rucksack, as running with it is a pain in the ass sometimes.

  • I had my first major slip up. 5 pints, 2/3 of a bottle of red, a whisky and a burger king. oops

lucky i got my weigh in first

  • Has hatbeard travelled into the future?

  • Has hatbeard travelled into the future?

It's week ending so you can weigh yourself any time during that week.

  • Also this is strange. I ran to work this morning and had some porridge (when I got to work) now It's almost 12 (lunch) and I'm really not hungry at all, whereas normally when I get in I'm starving by now.

I'm going to go have some soup soon though.

    It's only lunch time!?!

I hope you're in another timezone or that was a delayed post!

Well if you are going to do something, do it properly!

Well if i want to shift this weight i think I'll have to start liking running or at least not hate it so much. Eyes on the prize and all that.

I really want to get up to running to work but I will need a bag. Does anyone have any recommendations for a small backpack for running with? Will only really need to hold a folded shirt, wallet, keys, phones etc.

I keep my trousers at work and towel and that. If I need to carry more stuff, I use the panniers on my bike or worse comes to worse and I have to go to a meeting, I'll bus it in full suit.

  • I tend to take 2 days in with me at a time so I can run home and in the next morning without having to carry more than house keys, emergency bank cards and phone.

No need for a bag that way

  • splosh swimming done.

All in all I quite enjoyed it. Will be back tomorrow.

And I've restarted using the myfitnesspal app on my phone to track what I'm eating. Damn. I know I was eating too much, but that much too much? Damn. Still, knowledge is power, and I can now start to work on it.
