  • Good to meet you James, and thanks for the cake and coffee! Was fun out there, nice and mellow. Scobles facial expressions were quite magnificent.

Will go for a timed effort in a couple days hopefully.

  • Fairly chuffed given how slow the first two laps were. Seems I've split the scobles, will bad things happen now? Determined to get under an hour.

  • I noticed that 6pt hardly able to go completely flat (fastest I notice is 33mph), what give?

Especially when most of the others who managed more than 35mph (Bainbridge's at 40mph for example)

  • You gain more time with 500+ watt efforts uphill than freewheeling downhill.

  • Is it not just a case of keeping the effort/HR steady?

    What's your secret 6pt?

  • I'm sure he dealt with this somewhere in the thread, but isn't he just a cautious descender?

  • ^ I think actually it's sustained effort over chaining the hills which reaps the most rewards unless you can take it to 11 without any recovery dip.

  • Then again I know f*ck all as my only attempt cost me 1k in damages...

  • Look to see my 2nd attempt on this in the spring http://t.co/iesfBDN0

  • Ah - nice frame. Does that replace the BMC then? Did you get it from the Canyon site?

  • Yup and yup. BMC will be turned into a workstool :)

  • anyone up for a few laps on Friday?

metrocammell and myself are contemplating it

  • Tomorrow?

  • yep, friday

  • I have things to sort, but legs to stretch also. Time?

  • not yet defined, when would you consider?

  • .

Is Monday an option for anyone? 12.30 pm may also work well for me, but would need to squeeze it into lunch.

  • how does mid day sound?

  • Morning or nothing for me; half ten? Monday a sound prospect also.

  • need metrocammell's input too

  • Make arrangements to suit yourselves first; if they align with my availability all's the better but don't let me compromise an otherwise simple plan.

  • i have suggested 10.30 to him

think he may either be at work or asleep right now

  • damnit, working tomorrow, was eager to take my roadie as I finally dialled in the position nicely.

  • I hear back on my engagements, or otherwise, in the morning. It will be a last minute confirmation but I shall check thread and update as appropriate. Knowing before half 9 would be handy (though probably unfeasible), but I will have some leeway so something should work out.
