Is it bad that my first thoughts on the mercian was how comfy the bar tape looks!
Damn nice though, and has found it's way into the LFGSS hall of bike porn -

The commuter probs needs a half link?
Nah next time it stretches I will take a link out and it will be nice and tight again. I have run this frame + ratio with a number of chains and i always have to wait for it to stretch out so I can remove a link

Damn nice though, and has found it's way into the LFGSS hall of bike pornIt's standard Fizik microtex soft touch. Will probably fall to pieces in a bit of rain, but it does feel very nice.

No, it won't. I only use that tape.

I need a new freewheel block for a rear wheel I may buy,
would i be right in assuming that the highest number of cogs i'll be able to find is 7, for an OLN of 126mm? -

Its green btw but as you say everything else is blacked out and in jan perhaps even the cranks will be black omniums

My 853 Ribble - in retrospect should have gone more classical but it does get used a lot, is light and doesn't need much cleaning. Not sure about the 'spring of steel' - pretty stiff on our crap Oxfordshire tarmac. Carbon forks next methinks.

Anyone know where I can get the missing bulb holder for this dynamo rear light?
It's on my shopper resto, most of the bike is cleaned up now, just need to sort the front brake, and if possible, this.
Think I need something like this, not that big, but that kind of fitting.

Yum, wheelset for life;
Phils low flange with phils cog, DT Swiss spoke, and Mavic Open Pro CD.
Ed, have you still got these?

my winter "hack":
42x19, fixed. Nokia w106 37mm studs. Avid shorty 6 on front. Hmm have to check those brake pads, pretty close to the tyre.

ohhh i would put that in porn but might get flamed for the short stem / brake pads issue

Are Zonco's just really comfy?
Love the griptape with the frame colour.dope.

Suprisingly, got prologo on my proper road bike and liking that, quite similar in shape. Bought zoncolan for my next summer tarck project but wanted to try it already and feels fine.
The stem is short because for now it is for commuting and riding in bad weather, not proper cx racing or anything like that. My road bike has same toptube and 11cm stem not 7,5cm.

Makes sense, but you know what the porn thread is like practicality and sense mean nothing there
-
• #52748
hehe yea, just because I took photos of it with some bokeh it doesnt mean I'm shooting for porn ;)

• #52749
what crank length are you using?
-
• #52750
hmm I think those are 165. From my old winterbike. Cheap lascos from velosolo.
