  • Can't you connect with cable of some sort?

  • I have a draw full of Sony Ericsson cables if you need one? Can drop one in the post to you tomorrow, or bring one down on Thursday?

  • nah, tried plugging it in but can't find any likely-looking files anywhere on it besides the aforementioned backup to card. I've managed to grab everything as individual .vcfs which is progress, as well as downloading all my texts. now to work out where the hell this program saves things.

  • I've got cables for W810i and K750i models.

  • the most important outcome from all of this, of course, is that I get to keep 'you're so cool' as my ringtone on my shitty tide-me-over-until-I-decide-which-smartphone-to-go-for k750i.
True Romance # You're so cool! - Hans Zimmer - YouTube

  • Why this FTP so slow, huh? Why?

  • because you're filling your bandwidth with midget-data?
I'm going to have to send each of however many contacts I have individually. ffs.

  • No midgets here Chop. Did watch Life's Too Short porno comedy tonight..

^ didn't do it for me.

  • I found the 'making of' kinda funny but it spoiled any jokes this episode might have contained.

  • all done. christ that was tedious. but resulted in a long overdue cull. sorry guys, you didn't make it through.

  • My karrimor rucksack came with a rain cover that seems like a simpler version of the hump (plain black). It probably wouldn't stand up to hours of persistent downpour as the rain could still seep down your back or along the straps and slowly soak the bag, but i've found it works pretty well for keeping things dry when cycling in the rain.

The advantage over putting waterproofing inside is that you don't arrive with a soggy rucksack.

humm interesting. might end up biting the bullet and getting a hump. maybe i'll start undertaking too, could be fun

  • From observation of CS7 each hump comes with a permit allowing you to push through everyone else waiting at the lights to get to the front- make sure to set off slowly though, with a dramatic wobble to one side at some point.

  • Does anyone know where i can get a tube of vittoria mastix rim cement/glue in london tonight?

    Cheers

  • Sigma?

  • Condor possibly, maybe Mosquito?

  • sigma no have apparently, will check out condor on my way home. Cheers

  • Any reason why you're using glue as opposed to tape (I'm assuming this is for the new wheels)?

  • coz the pros use glue innit. Nah I dont have a strong reason for using one over the other. Ive changed my mind between them quite a few times and just picked one. I like the idea of pre gluing a spare tyre and changing it over in case of a puncture. Also some people say its a stronger bond although I doubt ill ever push it enough to test that theory.

plus, i like playing with paint brushes

  • Fair enough. It's messier, that much is certain.

  • I glued my first few tubs last week. Found it to be quite easy and apart from a brief moment where I glued my hand to my desk, not very messy. They're on straight and everything.

Just noticed that Decathlon in Surrey Quays stocks the velox glue for £2.99

On yer bike on Tooley Street had four tubes of the Vittoria mastik in stock when I was in there last week. Its just behind the till.

  • Tape involves zero mess, so my point stands.

nice, you have any little tips? I was going to follow the routine that zipp have on their website. Was going to use an old paintbrush i used to paint around my walls.

Why so adverse to a bit of mess? Not like you have to do it all the time and a large majority of maintenance one does on a bike is inherently messy.

  • I'm not averse at all. I glue track and cyclocross tubulars (the latter have both glue and tape), but tub glue is sticky stuff and requires a lot of effort to clean up.

  • Any German speakers fancy helping with a bit of translation quickly?
