Obviously not the ultimate cycling jacket, but UNIQLO (once again), is proving
to deliver the goods, at affordable prices. I'm not sure now but almost, >>>£59.99<<<.
This is Kasia's one in black - windproof - water-repellant - reflectors - feels great - super light.
I say = get one.

it would be boil in the bag for me. even e-vent i only wear in downpours or subzero. maybe i should bimble along and not sweat so much.
i have one of the surface aquaphobic wool jackets but there's no way i could wear it on the bike if i had more than a mile to cycle, it's great as a smart waterproof though and doesn't shout 'i'm an outdoorsy person and own a walking pole' -

I suffer the same issue, anything worn for more than 1 mile gets me sweating like a fucking fountain.
Still, it's the post-riding that I'm always concern. i'm always cold in London, when not cycling. -

I just can't stand cycling jackets with hoods. Pointless.
Just my opinion. -

^they're quite useful when rolled up in the collar at keeping your neck warm.

Depends, I wore mine today and it was pleasantly warm by the time I ordered my coffee- I took the short route to work though mind you

it is, but it was a blessing last night at 12am though.
and was lovely when you're taking it easy with a couple of layers while listening to the iPod.
only to be used to the coldest of cold.

I had to remove mine on the way into work this morning. Whilst pretty damn cold in Brum this morning, i had to make the most of layers...

You are also dead, you create no heat.

The Hoxton would be a more appropriate name than the Eiger.
-
• #473
Most of those jackets won't go anywhere near the Eiger.

^ i'm always too skint to get that jacket...
I have successfully used Showers pass elite II jackets over the past few years. They are well made and very protective. There are some photos in my blog at:
