I've been thinking this... reckon with simple black paintjob could be pronny....

  • waste of money though, should be proud to have such an athletes name on your bike...

  • This is true, but I think it would look quite nice in a brushed alloy finish with a clearcoat over it- something I have done before James, so no need to seek opinions on it.

  • phew, can return to this thread safely

  • Proud of an athlete who exploited his name? Why? Anyone can send a design to Asia and slap their name all over it.

  • can i get my george foreman grill powdercoated?

  • Before you cuss Boardman, look into the r&d they've been putting into some of their bikes...

anyway, I meant it more ironically, maybe in 50 years time everyone will be creaming their pants to buy vintage boardman air 9.8 TTs off of ebamazon....

  • Is 9.5kg heavy for a full built carbon framed road bike?

That how much a modern lugged steel road bike weight (well, audax).

  • Could somebody please explain to me 'The Turn of the Screw' by Henry James? I just read it and I don't have any idea at all what the hell it's about. Then I read the Spark Notes (which brought back memories!) online and it was all fence-sitting and ambiguous and didn't say anything useful. Mdcc tester, does your extraordinary knowledge and helpfulness extend to literature?

  • ^^^^ Yes. Powdercoating will withstand enough heat for one of those grills. Easier if you can remove the panels you want coating. Anodising would be better

  • ^^It's about Nick Knowles and his astounding collection of scandalous ex-wives.

  • There are usually at least a couple of Powertap wheels for sale on the timetriallingforum at any given time.

Which Tri/TT forum/s have the best classifieds to peruse if one were looking for a powermeter?

    .

  • Ta. Just found a Hollowgram SRM listed on ebay, wired though sadly, but may go cheap.

Well, she sees ghosts. So either she sees ghosts or she is mad. Depends if you believe in ghosts (or are willing to suspend disbelief for the sake of a ghost story).

Phil Horne was my personal tutor at UCL. We had many 'interesting' discusions about this: I do not believe in ghosts or enjoy ghost stories.

Iron grey skies, it's getting dark before 4 fucking pm at the moment. What youe might expect is gona depend on where you're staying.

  • Can anyone give a summary of what I've missed lately?

  • Not till you explain yourself young man.

  • I was talking to another rider yesterday on a club run, he mentioned a cycle event where you ride to different check points in a sequence before crossing the finishing line
(almost like an alleycat in the countryside). I think it's more of a casual audax/sportive than a competitive event.

Any ideas what this could be called if it's an established event?

  • Cheers Andy.

  • Not till you explain yourself young man.

    I remember... I remember Tynan.
