  • mash bolt is quite near but why did they have to put 2 colors instead of one even there? Why? I just dont get it how a collection of artist designers photographers and whatnot can come up with shit looking so damn ugly.

  • As for Ritte. Shite! Pfffff.

  • I just dont get it how a collection of artist designers photographers and whatnot can come up with shit looking so damn ugly.

    Have you seen current projects?

  • ^^^ $1500 for that.

    Time to buy shares.

You might get an idea how by looking at their art, designs, photos.

Just because they are an artist, designer or photographer doesn't mean they are good at it...

  • Hey guys, I've always watched this thread as I own a mash I've always wondered what's with the hating?

  • Hipsters can't handle more than 1 'color' on a bike.

    Hence the hate.

Oh yeah, that and the fact they are consumer gold.

  • I'll agree with the hipster remark haha but the way I Looked at it is that it was only a matter of time before a big bike manufacter clicked on with the whole "rise of fixed gear" so either way we would have ended up with a massively marketed frame with "hipsta appeal"

  • Made with a different tubeset. You might notice that the toptube isn't the mash/vigorelli teardrop shape and that the chainstays are fairly square and you can't see a crimp up by the BB.

Pretty identical geo though. Just another company getting on the mash fauxpro bandwagon

  • and price difference?

  • Leader undercutting Mash attempting to steal potential customers, if the prices I found are right with the Leader at $800 and the Mash at $925. I'd expect to pay £600 for a well built alu frame, perhaps Leader found a way to save £80? Or that Leader already have a decent customer base and can rely on their other frames for a steady income...

  • Leader's development costs will be lower than Cinelli's because they just pinched to geo.

  • mash:

    kagero:http://www.thekagero.com/content/info.html

cant printscreen the geo from there because not on my own computer, but they aint the same.

edit: hmm or are they, those toptube lenghts given on the kagero site are not virtual but actual tt cc? I though kagero was few cm longer.

Leaders cost £45 to make apparently

  • No different than any other products. By the time they have come from Asia, paying all the middle men and finally shops profit it ends up at £600.
Just think how much better a frame with a £120 price would be than one with £45 and it should only theoretically cost £75 more.
Pity those costs couldn't be compared as would show differences more clearly.

  • I'll just leave this here...

SO basically someone's looked at the MASH and gone, "it's cool but wtf's up with the lazy welds and shit paint. I reckon I could do better."

    Good idea.

  • It's no airplane.

    teabags toptube

  • It looks like it's falling forward.

  • It is. If you look very carefully you will see the rear wheel is raised off the ground.

  • Well, yes. Aside from that, the bar angle and saddle position (forward, and angled down) contribute to the effect.

  • That's the more aggressive geo I think.

Top tube is shorter than orig + bolt.

Seem to have avoided toe overlap unlike many of competitors.

  • I love the coloured Histogram covers head with hands
