Oh am I? Do you know what they eat? You'll find them in pretty much any harbor, port, marina, dock, etc... they eat poo, swage, and taste of it too.
I just find it curious, we (Portugal) wouldn't feed our cats with it.Nothing wrong with that. This is why eels are tasty.
Do you eat pork nuknow?

Best fish and chips I've ever had was at the Middleton-in-Teesdale fish and chip shop. Washed down with a Black Sheep from the pub across the road, and oodles of salt and vinegar.
Disclaimer: this may not have been the best ever fish supper, but it certainly tasted it after the 120mile ride across the North Pennines in a howling gail, while carrying two full panniers.

Yes. Are they really opening another? The one on Fulham High St. Has been shut for ages now (at least, since I last made the effort to notice). Windows looked blackened almost as I remember.
They did do really good fish and chips though.

Paradise Fish Bar on Newington Green. They let you bring your bike in and are generally very friendly.
Fish is always freshly done when you order it and they use fresh rapeseed oil which they change often.
Top marks.

Aldeburgh have banned eating FnC on the beach, I gather... problems with gulls.
@nuknow I dig haddock. Think you got tge wrong end of the stick on discards. There are lots of cod getting wasted, but it's not true there's a shortage. Also, I think uou're wrong that UK fisheries are any worse over-fishers than any other country.
As for bottom feeders: Shellfish, octopi, crustaceans and flat fish all bottom-feed. Are you really suggesting that organisms that survive on carrion or shit shouldn't be touched? Pigs? Plants?
Foo. Loads of shiteaters are fine to eat.
