Lookin' good, Rickster!

I plan on running 175s on less than 310, I'm thinking a little bit of pedal strike in the corners is better than a high centre of gravity (or a lack of leg extension for sprinting), a wider q-factor should make the strikes less gnarly too?
I think they do different sizes, someone was talking about it on FB.
I don't know what the b/b height on the RB-1 is, but I have run 175s all the time I have played polo, rarely strike with ATACs. Any downside of long cranks is far out-weighed by upsides (improved power etc), IMO.

i really like the look of this.
+1. The price is good. There is no reason why these should not be as durable as a Surly, as opposed to a Pomp. The RB-1 was/is a mass-produced steel frame, and has lasted donkeys.

Pearson "10 Goal polo bike"
"10 Goal, meanwhile, is designed for bike polo, named after the title given to the highest level polo players. Again made from Reynolds steel, it has a reversible hub so you can ride fixed or free, with pricing starting from £249 (frame only) and £599 (full build)."
This bike is in the East Sheen store if you want a test ride.
I rode it and it was fun but then I don't know anything about Polo.

Also is radial lacing a good idea on a polo bike?

Quite slack at the front, innit? Would love to have a go on this, might pop up there tomorrow...
Please do. Any feedback appreciated.
Might want to call ahead and check its there/available.
I think we only have one model at the moment between the 2 shops.

I'm not sure if its too late to see if any changes can be made to the production model but I'll feedback everything I've read here. Although as pointed out its most likely to be used by non-polo players for around town cruising.

Where can I get a fork made to my spec and does anyone know what sort of money I'd be looking at?
I'm happy to adjust axle crown length but I can't find any straight mtb forks with an 1" threaded steerer.

Can anyone shed any light on my Q's on the last page RE: possible problems with a Voodoo Boxor?

Grass polo?
I would say that it was better suited to that.

What about a Kona P2 fork? they come in 1" not sure if they're threaded but guess you could get the thread cut at a bike shop

One of the most fun bikes I've ever ridden was an old Allin grass polo bike at HH... Would love one of those set up for hardcourt... Ah, the fun we had on Good Friday, look at Prav's face... :]

Ah, didn't notice they did them with an 1" steerer, Easy enough to change to an 1" threadless headset. Thanks.
Rob - you're right. Im new to thinking about this kind of thing.
What do you reckon to it?
