Cool, I'll keep my eye out. Bizarre size on the Gazelle, wonder if they custom made it?
No, apparantly this was stock. It does make sense though, because with quill stems you don't want lots of stem showing, kills the stiffness... I'm a leggy 6'1" and have a tourer with a very similar geometry, and it works really well for me. It's very unusual to have someone needing more than 59cm tt and you can make up a couple of cm in stem length quite easily (I would have run this with a 110mm stem - no problems finding a 130 or 140mm stem).
Also remember Gazelle are dutch, lots of tall dutchmen!

PS that Roberts is looking like a mega-bargain, I'd snap that in a flash were I looking! Those top tube dents are no issue, the rest of that bike is really nicely spec'ed...

What it used to look like, very aged paint, extra stickers.80s Saracen 531c frame for the taller gent. Fresh from the blasters (glass bead) and ready for paint. Also just for shot sitting on 27" wheels borrowed from my 'jackson. Sits better on 27 than it does on 700, though probably no space for mud guard with bigger tyres on the 27s.
Currently sat in phosphate, ready to powder coat, reasonable choice of colours going, had a minor dent in top tube (near seat cluster) filled. Probably around the £130 mark?
64x58 frame = 531c forks =531 with shimano SF dropouts and an SCM crown. Was going to go for a clear powder coat, but dent fill would be obvious. Will get a list up of colours that can be done tomorrow. Anyone want?
EDIT>>>>
Picture when fresh from blast.
staining is from where dog licked it as I came through the door with it!http://i183.photobucket.com/albums/x30/brickman_photos/saracenframe030.jpg

Off topic, but you're the people who will know: does anyone know a good quality ethical trouser / jean manufacturer that makes trousers with a 36" or 38" inside leg?

I see a couple of canyons for sale in this thread but dunno if it's generally known that Canyon are good about doing huge sizes in most of their ranges- roadlite (sportive geo) include a 63 and 66 nominal sizes- ETT is approx 590 and 600mm for those two. The carbon ultimate Carbon (race geo) is available in nominal 62 and 64, with ETT close to 590mm and 610mm.
Promise I don't have any interest in the company etc but also worth noting that if you are getting just a frame, do consider taking out a BC race licence so that you benefit from their "sponsorship"- full details somewhat hidden in the website but you will get up to 300 euro (from memory not quoting exact numbers, varies by model) off a frameset for just quoting your UCI race licence number.

Big +1 for Canyon. Rose also get great reviews, and go up to 66 in Alu / 64 Crabon.

I have another monster for sale. Well not that huge. Its 60cm ctt and 58/59ctc.
Its a mid/late 80s Dawes Shadow, likely made from reynolds 501.
60cm seat tube
58cm top tube.
straight & true
Shot on 700s + un-inflated 23c's hence the ridiculous clearances. With touring 700c wheels and 32's it would look ok and still have space for full guards. In fairly scruffy looking condition, has had loads of tape and things stuck to it over the years, a major paint peel on the forks, rest isn't too bad.
90/100mm front spacing
120mm rear spacing
26/26.2mm seatpost.
low end BB & headset included. Neither are light weight or high performance, but seem fine for a beater.£40 posted from the north to wherever. Putting it up in classifieds in a mo. Perfect beater/ cheap tourer material.

I'm after a 64cm frame (or bigger), preferably Italian, preferably early 80s. Unsurprisingly this is proving very difficult to find.
Just bought a Benotto off ebay because it was stamped '64' on the BB. Turns out that Benotto measured their frames centre-to-top, so it's actually a 62. Bit pissed off. Will probably get it resprayed and stick it up for sale on here soon.

Could be interested, how bad is the current paint, and what tubing is it?
Bargain for someone, just for the parts.... new toptube and a respray about £150?
