Hey all, I've just signed up here.
Sandy_l, is your Raleigh clubman still available? I'm moving back to London in a week and a half and would be interested to take it off your hands!
Yeah it is, I haven't really done much to sell it tbh.
I can't send you a pm because you're in the nursery still but give me a shout when you're in London and you can come have a look. I'll take some photos and list it proper by the weekend.

And actually I'd be interested in any other frames or full bikes too. Basically I'm looking for a 62-64cm frame to replace a 1989 Raleigh Triathlon Reynolds 531 frame that I've been riding since February. A crack developed in the head tube after about four months, and it seems getting the tube replaced would cost too much--even though its a real shame to have to strip it down.

Hi Im new to hear to, not so familiar with the sizes yet, I take it these frames are for great big large people hehehe 6'4/5 tall, Im 6'1 and someone recomended a 58 frame, is that correct. Sorry if my question sounds daft, thanks very much.

^^ That Peugeot looks nice, any thoughts on what a good price for it would be?
-
• #114
collection only in huds are you local?
-
• #115
Yeah I'm in Leeds, it's £115 with 5 mins to go. Tempted!

• #116
Great deal, you get it?
-

No, I had my finger over the bid button but bottled it as I've adopted a one-in-one-out bike policy recently and a) I have my eye on a track frame at the mo and b) I have a decent old 25" or thereabouts geared Carlton in the shed that needs doing up.
I could have bastard afforded it though!

I put a last minute half arsed bid of 156 just in case. If I really wanted it would've bid 250 just thought I might get an unbelievable bargain... someone did at 171 though.

That's huge.

This would've been perfect for what I was after, but I'm now skint... it's maybe a little on the pricey side? but is very nice....
-
• #121
It is expensive, nice though. you're going touring right?
-
• #122
Yeap. SE Asia. Testing out a few ideas, smaller frame, more seatpot and spacers, taller frames etc... tha^ would've been nice i think, shorter reach. But definitely a bit pricey.

Cool, I'll keep my eye out. Bizarre size on the Gazelle, wonder if they custom made it?

well my Argos is 61x56.5 CTC... Bob jackson is 62x58 CTC... and Concorde is 62x59, somehow they all fit to serve their purpose... is there much call for 62 square frames?
I think for the tour, the ideal frame would be 60x56, mudguard and rack bosses and plenty of clearance, maybe canti mounts. There's a dawes which comes close in classifieds but holding out to experiment with what I've got. I was thinking about getting a planet x kaffenback as those frames seem proven pretty tough, really not keen on it aesthetically but I guess there are more important factors. Got a lower end campag group to stick on whatever I get, or might just transfer all the bits from my boardman cx. Then it'll just be coughing up for a bombproof wheelset. All the time in the world to plan though as I've pushed dates back to the end of next summer, towards the end of the monsoon season. Almost wish I could fast forward till then...
