A random one...
I need a way of saying "premature ejaculation" in a email, without it being picked up by spam filters.
Probably the wrong place, but any one got any ideas?
just type "spunk too soon".

I'm trying to search for some info, and there's too many threads about specific headset questions, and not really one generally useful one.
I'm happy to start one off, but I'm not sure exatly what it should contain.
My thoughts are having it layed out a bit like below. My main questions are; (1) do you need both upper and lower cup stack height, or is the over all enough; (2) Are there different sizes within each of the sizes - ie ISO and J.I.S. and should these be reflected?
I thought it would be best to leave the other new sizes out, as well as 1 1/8" threaded for the moment.
Any other thoughts/suggestions?
1" Threaded
- name / stack height
Recommended:
Best value (cost + performance) - name
Best all round - name
Bling - name
1" Threadless..
...
1 1/8" Threadless...
you could use sheldon's table as a starter matrix
- name / stack height

Does anyone have a pair of binoculars they don't want? Our house overlooks Essex Road and the bedroom is on the 3rd floor and I like to perch on the windowsill and stare at people sometimes but the height stops me from being able to really see the minutiae of public life sometimes. I want to be able to creep on people better but not spend more than £5. So. Anyone got a pair collecting dust in a cupboard?

What is the general consensus about the Cinelli Xperience road bike? Ive read a couple of okay reviews about it but have never actually seen or met anyone who rides one.
Any feedback much appreciated
I'd like to echo the sentiments of the above post.

If you take off the fox's head you will be able to see better.

Does anyone know where, or how I go about getting my boyf's grandad's war medals properly framed in frame, with a little name plaque underneath it?
-
• #16866
Lil - that's the kind of thing that custom framing places deal with. Unlikely to be cheap sadly.

Mate has asked for my opinion on this sick fixeh whip from the U S of A,
I have very little knowledge of Tange tubing & I thought Bianchi's were Columbus tubing, hence why I thought its maybe a bit moody.

For non-cable, I'm not the only person who's been very happy with Bethere / BeUnlimited. Really consistent. You can pay for the landline via them too, rather than direct to BT. I think there's a thread about ISPs…
I've used for years. Their speed depends on distance from the exchange (like all ADSL2+ ISPs) but they have been great for me in terms of consistency of service. I get 19.1MB down and 1.7MB up from them but I'm quite close to the exchange.

Fitting a new headset and was wondering if it's OK to put a small cut in the crown race so it will fit down snugly on the fork steerer? Seen it done in a few pictures

I've got a little dent in my alu frame, where the previous owner let the bars swing round and hit the top tube
will I die? the frame is from 1996
-
• #16873
How little is the dent? Paint cracked?
My brother's raced on a dented Corrado for 4yrs. The paint was cracked but the metal underneath didn't look too bad

• #16874
nah it's a proper dent
It's a cannondale MTB, I'll be sad if I can't use it off road

There are some headsets which have split crown races, but yours isn't one of them. Do the job properly by getting the fork crown cut and faced to take the crown race with the correct interference fit.
