Can you do releathering? My dad is working on his 1935 Holdsworth restoration, the original saddle doesnt have rails and the seatpost looks a bit ugly with a rail attachment for a modern saddle. Pics:
...to go on this bike, just waiting on the wheel build!

Hi Skully
If I want my Brooks butchered, how do I get it to you? Post?

Skully can you do lettering across the seat of a B67S? It's brand new and the leather is literally rock hard at the moment, do I need to soften it up a bit before a stamp will work?
Hi Skully can you do a B67S? Is the textured leather a problem? Will be a new one.
thanks

Hi skully, I'm over from retrobike, and new to here. Your embossing is fantastic. I'm way down in somerset. Would you emboss from a distance via post? could arrange whisky via mail, or paypal gift some dosh...up to you. And have you ever butchered a Swift? best wishes

Good resurrection. I thought you gave up that chop ting.
This time I've got a Team Pro up for some stamping. No chopping, as I like the shape.

Hi Skully
I'm new here (sort of) and was wondering if you were still stamping saddles? If so I would like mine done. Don't think I can PM yet...
Thanks!

Mr Skully
Can the B17 be chopped? If so are you still doing this?
Thanks
Gareth

Yes to stamping, chopping umm well it depends. If it's dead old, no, if it's newish, well yes. I can be found in se4, or at S or SE pub meets, or central rendezvous.
Stamping £15
Tieing, reshaping sagged ones etc £15
Chop & tie + stamps £25
+£5 collect/drop around C London. Better to bring stamps to me, quick to do at home.Skulls

Fab - not local but will be in London for the duration of the summer so will bringsaddles along..A couple of my b17s are newish - older ones on some bikes may just want tidying up.
Thanks

also - I remember reading somewhere on the forum about someone who did leather wraps of handlebars (instead of bar tape)...Anyone here have any recollection?

Keep meaning to get the small letters again, lost the die that you hammer the letter stamps with. I can still do the large fancy letters.
I haven't coverted (chopped the sides right in) a saddle in a while, I've decided it's too time consuming for what I can reasonably expect to charge, and doesn't really improve the saddles. A little trimming off the nose and tail is fine though, but no-one seems to appreciate this subtlety.

When are you going to stamp mine? :-) I've got another bike again, so can part with the Brooks for a week or so. I just don't go south of the river much these days.
my gift!
