Getting a 2011 Fuji Track CLassic this week and really fancy putting a quill stem set up on it at some point. Anyone done this before or know if its possible? And if so any recommendations what stem to go for?
Cheers
short answer: no
mate, go to youtube and look for videos as you're obviously young and dumb and need to learn quickly instead of relying on Lfgss

You'll want some skyhooks to put your bike away tidy with.
There is something you can buy but it's pointless. A quill stem would look shit there. Leave it as is, you can get skinny A-head stems if you really want

Just out of curiosity, has the geometry of the (Classic) Track always been the same? I know Bianchi's Pista got more slack, but hasn't the Fuji always stayed at 73 degrees or so of angle?

i think the new ones have more fork rake, seem to be made to have bar spin clearance

So far so good, been just changing the old componets from the orginal bike to Dura Ace 7710 Track and also the HEAVY Aerospokes to cope with London roads...

Did the Nightrider on my Feather a couple of weeks ago, just got round to fixing the two flat tyres I finished with and decided to take a photo. Plan to build up some nicer wheels and change the seat at the moment.
A Brooks saddle will give it a touch of class! =p

IMO modern carbon forks usually look out of place on skinny tubed frames, but that is spot on. What's the headset? It looks quite flat and angular, and I'm half wondering if that helps blend the forks into the frame.

Gone for a San Marco (a bit cheaper) and got a pair of GP4000s along with some new straps.
Was thinking open pros for the wheels, any other suggestions on vintage look rims?

Yes, that much I know. Was just wondering about the frame and fork alone.

2005 frame and forks. The cranks and seatpost remain as stock, everything else slowly replaced over time. Currently running Mavic open pros, a crappy Charge bucket saddle, Suntour calipers, Paul lever, Nitto stem and bars. Tough as nails, I love it to bits.
I saw this in Covent Garden today. Paint job is so much better than any of the current ones.

Nice... similar to my Track. I went with Gran Compes on Open Pro's - all silver. Very happy with the wheels (built by Arup here on the forum).

Ordered another Fuji Classic Track from Velodrome Shop. I had one last year, but it was a 54 which felt too small. So I sold it. Got a 56 this time.
I think the colours were better in 2010, but as it will be my beater, I don't care that much.
