I'm thinking 36h(cant find any 32) gran compes laced with dt revoloution to open pros
Revs are pretty pointless, stick to Comps for cheaper and stiffer wheels which will be ten times easier to build.

Thanks, I've not got anything yet, wise. So appreciate the tip.
Also saw and posted in the pro-lite for £100ish wheelset thread. How would that set-up fair against what I had planned? Ignoring monetary difference. Appreciate the help :)

The cheap Rosas are about the same quality as your proposed build, so the decision between them comes down to money and aesthetics.

Thanks. Seems silly to spend circa £90 more, yes they'd be slightly better looking but for £90 hmm.
Sorry to cross post from the pro-lite thread. Do you know if the decals can be removed from the rim? Kind of a crux point, as they're a bit to subtle!

If they don't peel off, I think MaxC might still have some black rattlecan with which you can go over them.

LOL I've read the whole of this thread. Funny was had. Especially after regretting it and trying to take it back to beautiful blue.

pretty sure the decals will come off. If not black vinyl will still be way cheaper than your proposed wheel build.

Awesome workshop, is that your own?
I wish! its a place called action 21, Its actually a charity, I volunteer there
i renovated a pair of those 'suicide levers' with new washes, pivots etc put good cabling and brake blocks (swisstop )and they work fine when on the tops, as i am most of the time.....only problem is on a bike without them, and grabbing air !
Yeah they were pretty good when the original levers were on, i think they should go back on but i wont be riding it

that the £40 ebay witcomb? If so, looks like its been treated to a proper job, nice build; not sure about the chain guard, saddle angle, radial rear, eccentric front, skyward reflector, bent left crank arm and no foot retention. :p

Nitromors... Not as much fun as you might think!
Now off to find a sandblaster to do a proper job.
should just lightly sand it with 200+ grit and then.... nevermind.

Already posted in Pompino thread, but meh:
Off: Sugino 75 blue 48t ring + Burgtec Penthouse flat pedals, old KMC K710 chain.
On: Goldtec 46t track ring, Time ATAC XS Titan Carbon pedals, new KMC K710 chain, Ringle H2O bottle cage.Feels much better with the ATACs, Ergonovas, and 46t ring than with the Burgtecs, Newtons, and 48t ring. Very happy with it now. And a new Ringle cage!

i am currently working on a late 80´s mondia winner 501 frame which will get a 600 ultegra group...might need to get a new fork since i cant find a headset stacking up low enough to fit...does anyone have a clue about low low low threaded headsets??
-
• #46872
chris king make the lowest stack one i think, but the tange passage is nearly as low and cheap.

Rejigging my bikes and picked up my roadbike for the rest of the summer (if it ever comes).
Canyon Ultimate CF with Ultegra 6700 and DT Swiss wheelset. Bamboozled on how good it is, blown away by the sheer stiffness of the thing. Best bike I have ever ridden and the thing climbs and descents so well. Best bit is the fit which seems perfect to me.

Just took it out for a ride, feels good. Need a better saddle and maybe bars/stem, as theyre from the parts bin but work pretty well. Should be a nice tarck beater for not a lot of money.
