  • That's lovely!

  • Swit-swooo! that Colnago's looking sweet.

  • Oh heeeeell yeah

  • working on this for some one, getting another person on a bike!

thinking if i should put the original style levers back on because the ones i put on are so awkward to pull, maybe i'm just not used to them

  • You will shorten the distance between lever and bar by mounting the levers further up the bar, (also the flats on the bar should be level)

  • i renovated a pair of those 'suicide levers' with new washes, pivots etc put good cabling and brake blocks (swisstop )and they work fine when on the tops, as i am most of the time.....only problem is on a bike without them, and grabbing air !

Awesome workshop, is that your own?

  • Any tips on how to tighten my chain? it keeps falling off when I ride up and down kerbs.

  • Love that National (a.k.a. Panasonic) ^ ^ ^
    Want something like that.

Yeah put you cock right up next to the chainring and give the cranks a good tug, slack taken up in no time

  • I had a similar bike, 'cept my chain was red (but don't think that should matter) and I had that very same problem, until I learnt how to push my bike. All seems fine since.

  • my current ride, a few bites have changed since then though :)

  • I don't know what to say about that Triconcept. I may need some time...

Do you think it'll help if I change to a red chain?

  • Extend the length of the teeth on your chainring. Should solve it.

  • So this be my new project, 59 steamroller. Got from the 'bay, maybe the previous owner is on here. To be used for work, I'm a super ninja, so it's going all black to keep my stealthiness up.

I'm thinking 36h(cant find any 32) gran compes laced with dt revoloution to open pros (CD or black can't decide). Sugino cranks, gearing around 75 to start i think then go from there and then drops or rises, will try both out. And then a turbo saddle i think. Stem and seat-post to be decided. MKS pedals and straps. Simple front brake and mini lever.

  • That National or whatever... That's sick.

You need to take some links out of your chain, it looks like you are using a frame with vertical dropouts so if you can't get the chain taught enough by doing that it may be worth looking up magic gears on here or Sheldon brown's site

    Oh....... Wait

  • witcomb done

  • That's very nice. Perfect English summer bike? Not riding the BMX any more?

Just noticed... I'd want better (less elastic) toe straps, and less fragile rear tyre if it's going on the road.

  • Do you think it'll help if I change to a red chain?

I wouldn't like to say for sure, but try it. I hear White chains are good as well, maybe that would help. Perhaps best to ask the guys at your lbs though. I mean, it worked for me, but maybe I was just lucky. Good luck either way.

  • Like the pic! I will prob replace the rear with a newer (25c) pannaracer sooner rather than later, front brake as well. But the welgo leather straps are not too bad for country riding.

  • Nitromors... Not as much fun as you might think!

Now off to find a sandblaster to do a proper job.

Lovin that! rear tyre will make it perfect
