I find it so frustrating when my friends don't understand the importance of keeping a bike indoors. Will keep and eye out.

Yeah he just doesnt get it.. at all.
"Oh mate I fought it would fine ya know, its such a quiet road - people leave their bikes out in the road infront of their houses unlocked sometimes"...
"Yeah 79.99 piece of shit 30kg Halfords kids bikes mate, not £1000 racing bikes"

I once turned down some action because she wouldn't let me bring my bike in the house. She thought I was crazy, maybe I am.

Shit Rowhan your shiny new bike. Really sorry to hear about this. Is there a local problem with sheds being broken into? It strikes me as being slightly suspicious that the one night you put your bike into the shed it goes missing, how well does your mate know his neighbours? Could anyone have seen you putting it in the shed?

Risk the love of your life for a bit of rough and tumble? Never!
Made the right choice this one did

new guy at work has been getting in before me and locking to the lamppost I usually lock to right outside our office where I can keep an eye on it leaving me and the other guy who locked to it with me to fight for the other space (major fucking grrr).
we both leave about the same time at 6pm and my bike is there and untouched. his is nowhere to be seen and no sign of the lock either. it was some fairly nondescript cannondale locked up with an abus thick cable lock.
Hmm, convenient, for you. Very convenient.
I'd keep an eye on this 'Hatbeard' guys.

A girl once said to me "it's just a bike" so I kicked the front door of her flat and said "it's just your deposit".

If only. I've never spoken to her since. She was paranoid about anyone leaving marks on the walls so I was lucky even to be invited in.

You beat me to it, here's a pic of it. The guy gave me evil eyes after taking a picture of it, so I reckon stolen!

Might of given you evil eyes because you are stood taking pictures of him and his bike?

Why do you think its stolen?
-
• #6367
That bike just got sold to some gormless hipster for £150

Why do you think its stolen?
The fact it has a good rear tyre for skidding, the angle and wear on the saddle, the wear on the sides of the bars as well as the shorter stem to compensate for bullhorns and the brake wear on the front rim all indicate the bike has been well used and set up to exactly how the owner liked it.

Get down brick lane tomorrow morning like 9/10am if you can, on sclater street or the square on the road opposite.

The guy in the picture was not the one giving me the evil eye. These guys are selling bikes at London fields every weekend, I do not think that they are 'honest bikes' or 'honest people', doesn't take many brain cells to figure that one out

Makes me upset that people are that stupid/selfish and it pisses me off that police doesn't do anything about it, those dodgy guys have been selling bikes at that spot for a while now.

I'm posting this in the Edinburgh forum too, but I think more people possibly read this, apologies if unrelated!
My friend Ross just had his bike stolen from inside the building at work. They knicked the money from the till too, but we're more concerned by the bike. It's pretty distinctive, as he built it himself, so hopefully we might have some luck recovering it.
It's a Cinelli Vigorelli frame, I've not seen another in Edinburgh. I don't have a recent photo, but there is one in the Facebook group he's created:

Just what I didnt need to happen right now.. any other time of course I wouldnt have minded ;)
