Benotto is very nice. I'm all about the mixte frames at the moment.
On another note... do people recon white hoods would go with brown bar tape? I have a brown brooks saddle and was going to match it with brown brooks tape on a set of moustache bars but I don't yet have brake levers - I've found a pair I like with white hoods but doubt they'll go. I haven't decided on the frame colour yet but I'm thinking either celeste or navy blue (with white decals) or cream (decals unknown)

Had my Dawes Fireball resprayed and started putting it back together this evening, got scared getting the headset back on so off to LBS tomorrow, nothing new per sé other than colour and I got a custom headbadge. Because I was that way inclined...
Bubblesworth is what I shall affectionately refer to it as.
this is AMAZING! where did you get it? :)

Yeah of course ive read up about these frames, a lot actually. No need to assume ive made some blind purchase cos its purple and shiny. You've given a lot of advice about them too, ive read it, and i aint saying do dont know your shit. The price was right, ive got most of the components, its should make a tough tarck beater. No need to call me out like that really.
hey man didnt mean to sound patronizing at all. if you're aware of all the issues and are fine with it - i'm cool =))
rekords make good beaters, hell, even METEORs do =)) -

'Updated' my RecordPro 7600s, UN91, DID chain, 7400 seatpost and frontbrake and a Corima rearwheel.
Still looking for some clips for the 7400 pedals and a DA stem.
I'll probably switch to some Syntace Stratos Zero bars later on..Next project: the garden..

Bought in 1979 for £30 in original chrome. Used for 10 and 25 mile mile time trails 1979-1981. PB 24.01 in 1981 aged 16 (48x16). Now aged 46, the chrome long rusted, a respray in british racing green and cream and last night 26.52 (48x15) after 30 years. Brought back many memories... can I get back down to the PB?? Apart from the frame the pedals and brake lever are the same. I have the original SR chainset but treated her to a new one.

It's taken me almost twelve months, but I've finally finished my 1954 Sun Wasp road/track. The wheels feel massive, but once it gets going it really moves.
The frame as purchased, with at least three layers of thick paint (red, green, yellow):
The finished bike, resprayed by Mario Vaz and fitted with period-correct British components (with the exception of the French pedals, Belgian rims, and modern tyres and tubes):
The colour scheme isn't a copy of an original, but was instead inspired by a classic Nike Air Jordan colourway:

very cool
a question though if i may - if you're doing 10 and/or 25 miles - why are you up from saddle on the plain bit (not uphill)? or was that just a finish sprint or smthn? -

can I get back down to the PB?
It's certainly well within the range of possibilities, loads of people older than you do >25mph on a regular basis. It will be a bit harder if you want to stick to your old school set up, but still nowhere near impossible.

Hi, I am looking to build a fixie with a flipflob hub so I can change in between!
Do you think you could give me some advice and maybe a list of parts I would need?
Cheers -

Or maybe a strong headwind, or just for the picture...Once I lost my saddle during an MTB marathon with still 50-60 km or so to go.
I wasn't pleasant. Legs were okay, but it was hard to shift and brake, not to mention to grab the bottle. And the risk of hitting the remainders of the broken carbon post of course. -
