let me know how you get on with that. I found it really difficult to decide between the two. In the end the thing that tipped it was that vodafone only had the sensation in stock.

Yep, I was umming and ahhing between the Sensation and the Galaxy. I ordered mine on Thursday, so they must have sold out soon after.
i think compared to the Magic, either one is going to feel like a supercomputer!

The only downside so far is the sheer size of the thing; the magic was just the right size for one handed cycle-texting. I can tell I'm going to struggle with this one (and ultimately drop it on the road).
Love the fact you can plug headphones directly into it without have to use a shitty adaptor.

Ok, things aren't looking so peachy any more.
Has anyone else got a Sensation? I plugged my old sim in, and during the last 5 hours, I had a couple of bars of reception for about 10 minutes, but for the rest of the time I've had no connection (except for wi-fi)
And for that brief moment when I had a bar of reception, I couldn't make or receive calls.
Disappointing.

I had a similar problem with my desire when I first got it..
I let it do it's thing and the reception was patchy. Have a look through the 'network' settings and make sure you're registered to the network.

In 'networks and wireless' go to mobile network settings and select your network from 'network operators'

Seriously? You cycle and.text whilst on a public road? That's a bit Evel Knievel cum Dick Turpin isn't it? A bit daredevilish and a bit not so very legal? You must cycle where there are no huge lorries hurtling past your shoulder at 50-70 mph. Otherwise, you have gonads the size of watermelons. Risky pursuit though.

From next week I'll have both a Nexus One and an iPhone, that's one more phone than I need.
Anyone interested in the Nexus One?
I will get it swapped under warrenty as soon as I have the other handset so it will be, effectively, new.

I'll give you a tenner for it. £20 if you get rid of the curse first. ;)

What could possibly be wrong with the new one?
Fourth time lucky- bound to get one that works next, surely?

You'll only catch me doing it on quiet roads :)

Take it nobody's an Apple fan here? I was Android and Linux all the way. Then caved and got an iPhone. It was a sad day... I might have to get an Android tablet too to balance it out :)

There's a iphone thread if you type it in the search box...

It probably doesn't work when browsing on an iphone.

Thanks Wibble, I tried that, and the phone told me my SIM doesn't allow me to connect to the Vodafone network. I got on the Vodafone forum and a couple of people told me it's very likely to be the age of my SIM (9 years).
Just got a new one. I'll need to wait a couple of hours for the old one to be deactivated before I can use it though. So fingers crossed...

Picking up a Samsung Galaxy SII tomorrow - going to keep my hd2 and sell the SII - first dibs to LFGSS Android peeps :)
It will be locked to T-Mobile - this shouldn't present too much of an issue tho: http://www.xda-developers.com/android/sgs-2-sim-unlock-code-finder-frees-your-sgs-2/

Considering getting an Android Tablet (am a Mac man but ipad way overpriced). Any suggestions/recommendations? I'm going to be using for photography - as a folio & image editor - and to play movies mainly.
So what do you think?

It has to be the Asus Transformer imo - the only one I am aware of to have an IPS screen

Just replaced my HTC magic with a Galaxy S2. Wow, what a difference. Great phone.
