If was to happen to have some space available for storage purposes in a relatively central London location, would there be a market for bike storage?
By bike storage that could range from:
Secure, manned, daily locking (for those who don't like to leave their machine locked in the street for a day)
Clean down service
Long term storage (for those with multiple machines that can't keep them all at home) I could offer access to machines throughout working hours during the week and at certain pre-booked times over weekends.....
Any thoughts (serious or complete bollocks) would be greatly appreciated..... -

It's not supposed to go up that hole.
P.S. They look a bit pricey for what they are - Are there any generic / knock off versions anywhere?Use a rolling pin.

With Goldtec hubs can you upgrade the bearings to ceramic or would you have to buy brand new 'Pro' hubs?
You can buy various kinds of ceramic bearing which will fit normal Goldtec hubs, they are very common sizes. I can't think of any circumstances in which that would be a good plan, but yeah, you can do it.

@CB...Thanks dude. For specific answers I would need to give away more specific information. Something I can't really do at the moment which is why I posted here. A new thread would be the way to go and I'll have more details soon. I was just testing the water as such....
@Brave... What a place! Didn't even know they existed!I know On your Bike offer a similar service from SE1. Fortunately my Central London location postcode starts with an E :-)
Whats that film with the Monkee's in it? EVERYTHING STARTS WITH AN E?

I don't get imperial measurements. Also decimal inches thingys are strange to me.
If I want a 26" MTB tyre for a tourer and my rims (for the city) right now are 26" Rigida 20mm wide (15mm inside), and presuming that those rims will not take more than 28-32mm rubber, what size tyres do I bloody need?
I gathered, that it would be something like 26" x 1.2 up to 26" x1.3. Anything else?Which slicks of this size are good? I've ordered some Conti Sport Contact in 1.3" and also thought about Gatorskins in 1.2". Anything else?

Bloody headache this

Geax Street Runner's 1.25" are decent. They take 100psi. Conti Sport Contact's only take 65psi and I can definitely feel the resistance. Theres also the Shwalbe Marathon Plus in 1.35"

How do inner tubes lose so much air after being pumped up? For that matter why do balloons lose air? HUH?

I have Michelin WildRun´R 1.4" and Schwalbe Durano 1.35" slicks for my ex-MTB. In my garage, haven't tried them on yet.

This is cross-posted from the running thread, apologies. Thought it would be seen quicker here and I'm currently having a Twitter argument about this so need to come up with an answer....
I've just got back from my second run - 1.1 miles. Pretty poor, but I'm going to keep trying.
Thing is, a colleague started giving me grief for only running a mile. I said I'd kick his arse on a bike, he asid it was easy with the help of a machine, and I said we should do a race; part run, part bike, winner has shortest summed time.
Now, what distances are fair? I can hardly run, but even a novice cyclist can move fairly quickly.
Help?!
