yeah, i was thinking either silver thomson or dura-ace. the saddle will be my stripped slr for now but im still pretty much constantly changing my saddle to find the comfiest, the slr is pretty damn comfy though.
I'd go dura-ace for the aesthetics of that bike, match wheels as well innit.
Silver CK yeah? -

Wow, that is beautiful for a first build, very well executed.
p.s
is that GorgeousBabyBlue™ ?Ta, colour is light grey. RAL7032 I think
what cranks are those? they look brand new.
Its a Zenith one from Hilary Stone

Silver CK yeah?yeah silver ck, the only thing with having a DA seatpost is that it would appeal to my vague ocd and i would have to have a DA headset, stem and cranks just to match my wheels and seatpost.

They were made by Easton though, so would match the Japanese/US mashup (not sure were the Dutch frame fits in....)
A Thomson, will look good, just you see less DA seatposts and they are teh sex.

ah, cool. well yeah, i did a quick scan of the bay this morning and there were a couple so i may see if i can nab meself one later. if i did get a DA it would probably be an aero one.

^nice job, looks like battleship grey
did this in 24 hours, which surprised me as it has vertical dropouts. Luckily for me the 2nd combination I tried was perfect.. this kind of luck never happens for me! Had a little bez up and down the road, looking forward to tonight's ride
what wheels are they?

think my current project is slightly behind others'

kind of tongue in cheek zero expense ratty beater for pub runs. Needs a brake or new rear wheel with kick brake.
-

some crappy pics because I like how it's turning out, trying to match bartape and saddle colour, shellac to green cloth bartape. can't wait to finish it.

really like that stem, but how does it work?
it looks like there's some sort of clamp at the base??

magnets...
yeah, clumsy finnish design (or french, dunno), the clamp is 21.2ish, so cant rly change.
Just threw that together one rainy hangover day. Prolly going to fix it up with silver components, moustache bar, single speed with kick brake, front basket.

The Toei is all kind of awesome, you're incredibly lucky to own such bicycle.
i thought you painted the seatpost to match the grey spattered bit on the frame for a second
sweet paint job!
