I didn't have a problem until I read this thread. Seemed to be cycling eye-first through a sea of the fuckers in Forest Hill earlier.
I blame OnelessCardigan.

A couple of years ago i was in the Udine region of Italy on a yoga holiday but took my road bike to go cycling in the mountains.
It was months later that one of the yoga people told me that every day I came back with black bits stuck to my teeth, and they were clearly splatted flies from the descents - everyone was too grossed out to tell me about it at the time.

Grossed out / envious
what did the others do while you were riding the hills?

Probably went back to their hotel room.

Spring and summer bring misery to my eyes; its the hayfever, the nasty tree needle-thingies, and the swarmes of midges in evenings near parks.
But my cycling specs save the day.I couldn't even go outdoors without them sometimes. Life savers.

Lidl's cycling glasses. I just copied the images over from an old post of mine in the Lidl thread.
Cheap, but effective, and hugely surpassing my expectations. I realised that they mist up on hot days when cycling slowly, but when cycling at a reasonable speed (still slower than you, by far), its very clear. I use the orange lenses, which brighten the darker mornings.
Sorry to disappoint.
Choice of 3 colours of lenses, and a strap for those that prefer that to the regular arms.

I just close my eyes and navigate by touch.
Not fast.

I could count the number of times you've been right on one hand… or perhaps list them :p
