  • For Sale:

    • Selle Trans Am, a bit of wear on the "Trans Am" but practically unridden, £5?
    • Dawes Kingpin (the Dawes version of the Raleigh 20, without the Raleigh only sizing), complete with mudguards, two racks and S-A 3-speed £25?

    • Revolution Courier Race. Extras: Mudguards, Velo Crosbow (or summat) seat with a hole in it, Ergon Grips with the stubby ends, Comedy ScotOiler, ScotOil refil. £100? Bike has had some reflective tape wrapped on it, to make it look more Tim Burton. About 1500 miles on it, but has been retired in the shed for the last few years (so is not the 2011 model). Suitable for 6'2" +/- a few inches, depending on your preference for large/small frame sizing.

Planet-X carbon seatpost, 27.2. They sold them for about £90 but I only used it for about 20 miles and then swapped it for an alloy. £30?
PM me if interested, feel free to make me an offer on stuff, I can always say no.
      Wanted:
Track Cog, 19 or 17 tooth, 1/8 pref but 3/32 is fine. PM me.
  • Dibs the Kingpin.
    Where and when?

  • I already pm'ed.

  • Undibs then if your pm hit home before mine.

  • Dont you have already have a similar bike?

If you had something planned like his & hers for going on rides with yer missus, you can have it. But if you just wanted to experiment with a novelty bike (like me) then I want it.

  • I talked about it with you once, I was after a BSA 20 to run SS with BMX tyres, similar to that masterpiece Scoble put together, I think Wigan Will rides it.
I had that Pashley Mail Star for my smug portage needs but my soon to be ex has taken future ownership of that for use back in Sweden. Leaving me with nothing to do the groceries on.
Started looking for a similar bike to this on eBay again, saw this, creamed my metaphorical shorts

  • damn late to the party...if by (slim) chance you guys both change your mind I'll have it. been trying to find a bike to teach my mom how to ride a bike, this (or another type of folding bike) would be good. shes kinda short.

  • How about my step through? I can change the setup for small lady and help you teach her (put my instructor training to use).

  • Hawkward.

I'm letting the DFP wrestle with this dilemma, your call Captain, who gets the 20?
    You for a clown bike?
Me for a hippy grocery mobile?
    Shredder's mom?

  • We definately talked about Raleigh 20's Pete....

I tried and failed to get my back brake working on mine this afternoon. Anyone got a 20" coaster brake rear?

  • any chance i can try the revo for size?

aint got a pub/doss bike anymore.

  • Hilarious sale thread. Someone man-up and buy the freaking thing! If I was the seller I'd get you all in the room and do sealed bids. Thatcherism in action!

  • We should share it in some sort of utopian socialist communal bike ownership plan.

I get it for the first 30 years, then someone else, etc...

  • Hottest bike ever on forum26 btw... If judged by buyer interest anyway.

  • i did chuckle tbh ...

was going to offer neil his coaster wheel but that would equal a backwards penny farthing.

    interesting.

just demand satisfaction over that, erm..small bike.

  • 2Squeak, sure, when/where? PM me. I will swap over the Trans Am saddle at no charge if you like.
dan, I'll have no truck with f-n' thatcherism, though I am shocked at the interest in the Kingpin (wtf is wrong with a carbon fork ffs?)... Oh, did I miss-type the price of £125?
DFP PM-ed first, £25 at a place and time? PM me.
mastershredder, I have a 26" wheeled S-A 3-speed step-through (even has dynamo lighting and mudguards) which my wife used to ride, so would suit 5'8"-ish. £50-ish if you're interested (wait for it .... )PM me).
Someone buy my carbon seatpost!(maybe I should have put a "buy the seatpost" clause on the Kingpin?).

  • Clown bike ftw

  • I live in Bearwood, yerself?

  • I live in Bearwood, yerself?

Kings Norton, near enough the station (Cotteridge), just off the intersection of the Rea Valley and 55 route to Redditch.

  • gotcha..i finish early fridays and have weekends free, motorbike job to look at...whens cool?

  • Work until 4:30 at least on Fridays and I do tend to lose track of time - the weekend might be better (or tomorrow I guess). If you're trying out a new bike I figure you don't want to do it in the dark, so maybe about 1/2ish? The KN playing fields or park might be good for that.

  • nae bother, first ride of a new build was to bhx beers in the dark, so no worries.

cant do tomorrow, polo and someone is popping around after to rummage through my bits.

    bike bits...

    next sat ok?

  • I too want to put BMX wheels on it (I actually own a fuckload of them), if the BB is standard size I may upgrade the cranks and tidy it up a little. But otherwise leave it as is. The racks on it are awesome.

I am likely to get bored of it or run out of space to keep my silly bikes. I am happy to bike share with Shredder and Void, potentially if you all cough up a proportionate amount.

If the SA hub is working very reliably, then it may be kept but id try and get a better rim on there.

  • How about my step through? I can change the setup for small lady and help you teach her (put my instructor training to use).

thats really kind of you, cheers. My moms about 4ft 11. would your frame size be ok? most bikes are like tall bikes to her.

  • Nah MG's frame is actually pretty big. Defo too big for 4'11"

you should look at bikes with smaller wheels, in fact a shopper bike is perfect. But perhaps you should get a tidier/newer one.
