best way to stretch a pair of DMs that are a bit small?
just water I presume? -
• #1006
not that i've done it, but i'd wear a pair of warm wet socks (more moist than wet) and sit with the boots on with laces done up tight
or htfu and just keep wearing them

about to pull the trigger on some grenson brogues, tempted on the archies
unless they look overly chunky on.
But before I do, is there any better alternatives? Checked trickers but think i prefer these, especially considering the price difference
also, gonna head down to the grenson store by liverpool st, anyone been?
Was gonna suggest the Albert model as you seem to be after a more classic looking model.

Ok, I'm looking for a pair of loafers in dark brown and am interested in people's thoughts about these by Tricker's:
Specifically I'm interested in opinions about this particular pair of loafers and not loafers generally, as I realise a lot of people just don't dig loafers. The reason I ask is that they are a bit 'sleeker' than, say, the classic Bass Weejun penny loafer, and I'm just weighing it up. I'll be wearing them in casual and smart modes, with jeans, chinos, trousers and shorts... everything basically.
I've been loving wearing my Tricker's boots in the same colour but soon it'll be too warm for them and it'd be nice to have a more Summery alternative.
cheers!

Need to get my Alfred Sargeant's re-soled. Any recommendations for good cobblers?

just avoid city cobblers on City Road.
I have my boots at fifth avenue shoe repair on Goodge Street now. 3rd time lucky...

SP, I personally would have loafers without the little sewing in the front.
I always had loafers as smart/suit shoes. Sebago was always the choice.
No sewing in the front, whatever brand anyway.

Either way. ^ I find this ugly. It's the shape.
