And I'll remove a link from the chain.. Would like the wheel to be in the indentation.. Although front and rear clearance match now..

Finished my girlfriend's conversion -
armourtexed Holdsworth from HilaryStone, wheels from Varno
nitto bars, wald basket, VO mudguards.
Bit of a bodge to fit the basket with such a short headtube but works pretty well. -

Oh, and I'd also like to put on some decals back on.. at least on the headtube.. Liked wat Hobo did to his Cinelli:
Also contemplating doing some custom decals.. Because OG Dolans are gash.. I remember some guy on here having some his friend designed for him.. Anyone?

yeah you're absolutely right, but why make the predictable and waste time on something someone else already has done.
I enjoy building the bike as much as riding it, so why not have some originality and experiment. I'd rather ride a frankenstein creation that is shite and built how **I **want it rather than the perfect bike that has been assembled from someone elses opinions.
not sure if this makes sense, but you know what i meannope makes no sense. come back to this post when you've changed your mind in april or so.
and that concludes all i've got to say about it. I'll carry on.

It's also fitted to a bike with disc brakes and a triple fork crown.
fair enough on the brake, but not sure what you're going with the triple crown fork.

Guess I might as well post it here to.
New frame, and a Pedal ID sketch of the finished bike.A Van Herwerden pursuitframe with welded trackdrops.
The frame has pretty cool tubing with kind of Colnago style to it.I´m going to try to get rid of the red color for now and keep it matte black.
Will be built up with a "corima-style" front wheel, Grand Compe with Open pro CD with black spokes, a striped flite sadle, Suntour Superbe Pro crankset and a dropped bullhorn.
Got all the parts at home except the front wheel, but it`s on it´s way from Latvia...

That look like a great hill climber boon.

It's clearly heavier duty (in terms of vertical load) than a track fork crown. I know that basket isn't attached to the fork but the extra mass of the cargo is still over the front of the bike.

boon - will you be using a back brake?
I presume the corima will be on the front?
basically what i'm saying is that there's no point in getting an open pro CD for the back unless you are using a brake. -
• #41288
does that ID sketch always put saddle and bar angles like that? Yikes.

just spotted the tag "sumo is a cunt". Does this mean I've made it to DJ levels of infamy?
-

I don't think you'd have to ask if that were to be the case

sometimes best to just admit you've made a mistake, and rectify.

No back brake, the rear wheel comes from another bike.
Why not have an open pro CD in rear???? -

Why not have an open pro CD in rear????may as well just get the regular one and save a few pennies, cd refers to the braking surface.

Ignore him, if you like the colour stick with it. Strictly, Couche Dure is put there to increase wear resistance, so it's redundant if you're not using a brake.

No saving if he has to replace what he already owns :-)

Why not have an open pro CD in rear????
I have open pro CD on phils hubs before, even though I have no intention of having a rear brake.
you'll be fine, at least it's not OP Ceramic, that'd be a waste at nearly £60-80 per rims.
Senor Bear - wouldn't it be lighter to have a front road hubs?
Both pictures are shite, had to use my dorm mates phone because the other one borrowed my camera.. Explaines the scenic background too, those are the doors to our loo's..
Anyways.. My project finished.. 54 cm Track Champion, stripped and polished.. The thing adding to discussion is the Burrows post.. Does work, but am a bit doubtful myself still.. I think in time I'll try a round bare carbon or easton on it..
